      I would like to switch things around to get EotS to 15spt for the start of the ironless age. This will slow down Sandstrom on growth for a short bit. Otherwise, we have it at 13spt for the next 4 turns.

      I take it we will want as many horse as possible, yes? This can be accomplished better by giving EotS one of the fur tiles from Hurricane and having both of them on 2 turn horse, but EotS nees to grow 1 pop, first.

        btw, if we do this with SanS, we can short rush to 10 sh for 4 gold right now, and knock out a spear in 2. Slight delay in additional settlers, but we want more pikes, yes?

                btw, where do we want to park the galley fleet while the infantry are aground?

                I would be very surprised to still see a rider in Valancia next turn, and i doubt much of the road between there and Murcia will remain...

                In other words, we will need boats to move south in good time.

                        They have been there to draw attacks from Pamplona. They should move back to the mountain now, the numbers do not favour the position any longer.

                          I haven't been keeping up with things lately. Would someone mind explaining what the strategy is in regard to going ironless (especially, what the plans are in terms of how to disconnect and when/how to reconnect)?

                            Short course...

                            We go ironless to double or more our production of units.

                            We cut all but one iron. That one iron continues to flow to RP for the trade. We are ironless.

                            When we have enough units ready to upgrade, we cut the iron to RP thus getting it back for ourselves. We can thus instantly get the iron we need to upgrade a snot load of units at once.

                            We have discussed cutting that iron by pillaging a road on grass or plains in Spain, having 2 workers in tile, and immediately reconnecting and reoffering trades to RP.

                            We can equally effectively accomplish the 'get iron for one turn for upgrades' goal by DoWing on RP and immediately offering peace with luxes and iron.

                            btw, GoW is ironless. The only way that was accomplished was by a 0 turn DoW of ND on them. ND declared war, offered peace and blah blah. GoW accepted before anyone ever saw the state of war.

                                right on the iron for Diss and Inof.

                                We have 2 workers standing by in tile at Diss to immediately rebuild the mine. The Inof min completes in 5, should not be effected by the pillage.
