I'm sorry, but they're relatively pathetic in the big scheme
    You are pathetic.

And your pathetic ass is protected by H-Bomb created by
    polish scientist Stanislaw Ulam.

So STFU if you know s* about history.
    And btw..
Guess from what country where workers that saved Jamestown from being another unsucessful colony?

    And from your president:

"Polish glass makers built and operated the New World's first factory in Jamestown, Virginia in 1608. Seeking the right to vote, those same Poles also staged the New World's first labor strike. They succeeded. (Laughter.) It seems the Poles have been keeping the world honest for a long period of time. "

What about Kosciuszko and Pulaski? Probably you learned something in class about them..

If not there is some lecture:

    Look under:
    1777 and later

Only because of them you can now be "Free American".

I can continue for a long time. ANd I will compile bigger list soon.

        • Polish Leader and how he should look like

          Hey guys,

Today I did a bit of brainstorming with my friend about the Polish leader and his possible outfits through ages. This is the fruit of our labour:

Jan III Sobieski seems like the most deserving IMHO. Now picture the big guy with mustaches, and we go:

          1. Ancient era - he should be wearing a white linen shirt. We pictured him as someone like Piast, the legendary founder of Poland. Traditional slavic haircut etc.

          2. Renaissance - here he should be looking, IMHO, as Jan III Sobieski actually; so either in the chainmail armor or shown in kontusz, the traditional outfit of the Polish nobility of renaissance/baroque.

          3. Industrial era - here we had two options. Either make him dressed in some ulan military uniform, or even make him look like one of the Pilsudski's legionnaires (I know the early 20th century is far cry from industrial era, but some of the existing leaders already know like early 20th century guys in this era too).

          4. Modern era - here is a funny thing. IMHO he should be wearing a suit with a St. Mary's picture in the lapel (like Walesa ) Like many here, I am not particularly fond of this guy, but I think it would be one of the more recognisable symbols of Poland (especially abroad).

          Now guys, what you think?

Yeah, he was my second pick. I chose Sobieski because he was Polish, unlike Batory, who was Transylvanian (he would have to wear fake teeth and lots of white make-up )

But seriously, an outfit Batory is normally depicted in (fur cap and kontusz) would be great (either for him or Sobieski) in the Renaissance era.

Indurstrial era almost missed the country. Poland wasn't on the map all the XiX century. We contributed in two ways: military and culture.
Let's make our Sobieski a culture man. He can be similar to Mickiewicz or Chopin. Give him a "romantic" look.

                • Kazimierz Wielki is winning in the poll right now, so I suggest to think up some outfits for him .
