  • Could you possibly post a copy of your rules file? Maybe that's the source of the problem altogether. There's no way in hell Athens was emptied in the first try twice in a row, so maybe your rules file is screwed up.
    Unbelievable!

    • I have not touched the rules-file. Yes, it is possible to empty Athens twice in a row, I just told you.

      • This thread seems to have disappeared for some reason, so I'm bumping it so I can see what the rules file check determined and if anyone has any comments on what we should do

        • No, the rules file is correct. But then emptying Athens twice is... impossible... but he rules file is correct... I...

          • If you only knew how wrong you are... Why are you so stubborn? It IS possibe to empty Athens twice in a row, otherwise I wouldn't have managed to do it.

            Please, play on...

I'm not the only one who thinks it isn't possible; anyone who plays that test file can see the odds are about 1 in 70. The odds of getting it twice in a row are therefore about 1 in 490. That doesn't necessarily mean you cheated. In fact I'm sure you didn't cheat, because had you done so you wouldn't have reported that you got it twice in a row and aroused suspicion.

That being said, what I'm actually worried about is that either something is wrong with your scenario files or with your Civ2 in general.

I know it should be very hard, that's why I got so shocked when I managed to do it twice in a row. Still the odds are there, though they are very marginal.

I really glad you're saying this

Well, that maybe. I can install it all over again, and see if that helps...

                Can we please play on?

                • With all this disbelieving going around you should have tried harder NOT to get Athens in one go. You should have blasted ships left and right if you emptied Athens, against other pointless targets. If solely to preserve your credibility.

Entrance to Black Sea Closed Temporarily

President Kurkov has announced that for the next couple months, the Black Sea shall be closed to all traffic without prior written consent from the Russian government. The reason for this is classified, but is said to involve routine training maneuvers. For our American friends currently in the Black Sea, move to these coordinates:
                      150, 66
and we will give you access out.
