    • Tokyo > London (Sugar): 1978 gold (+18 TRADE!
      )

Machinery will arrive in Birmingham in two months time. Bad english ZOCs are hampering the movement of Japanese freight.

      (Argh, I forgot about that!)

Textiles and Coal have unloaded near London, they will be finalising the importation of Japanese goods once all customs duties are dealt with over the next three months.

Tools and Silver will be arriving in Nantes sometime in the near future as well, and have unloaded off the ships.

The new boosts in trade have allowed the Japanese stock exchange in Tokyo to reel, and contractors are rushing to finish the larger ports that will be able to support an even larger volume of trade over the next few years.

          • Sorry, I'm well aware it's my turn but my net access died and leave it to the University's technicians to sit on the report for a week without doing anything about it. Not bad for government work.

If I nag them and still no one comes by the end of Monday, I'll have to hire a private technician and be out $50. Either way I'll get all of my 10+ late turns finished within 12 hours of it getting fixed.
            Unbelievable!

                  • US turn

                    Washington Post Special Edition:

The US emerge out of a few months worth of internal struggles: Our Prez has been campaigning for another approach in domestic and foreign politics. A nation based on international mercantilism seems to be the more successfull approach these times, according to Mr Ceteram.
A new Constitution is being worked on and a sovereign nation of before unseen strength and valour will soon show its full might.
To underline his determination, Ceteram has also announced the nearby completion of a great congress center in New York. Here all great leaders will be able to meet, discuss policies and conclude treaties: it's called "Imperial Powers".

Ten years after the bloody Civil War, the US now stand as a mighty Industrial Power: productivity an literacy on neverending rise.

First US ships sail the Panama Canal: Many thanks to Britain and its Dominions for keeping it open and safe.

San Diego-San Francisco railway to be opened soon: Joe Ceteram will cut the ribbon himself.

                    • Civil war in Athens. British influence suspected! Greece is now a puppet regime of the British Empire.

The decaying Ottoman Empire continue to succomb to the Union Jack. Beirut captured.

World trading continues with success. The British Empire has entered a golden age, literally

                      • Eivind, Jim and I were wondering how you managed to take Athens (with coastal fortifications) and Beirut (on hills) in the same turn with NO losses. Is the casualty report just buggy?
