CTP? Civ2? Civ3? SMAC?

Ditto for civ II -- but once I open my copies of SMAC & Civ III I might be able to vote civ II with a higher confidence level.Those with lower expectations face fewer disappointmentsComment

Civ II, closely followed by SMAX.
Moo2 is a great 4X game, like Civ 2, it is better than 3.
Railroad Tycoon 2 is also fun if you are a builder.Comment

IMHO civ2 is not the best civ type game
CIV2 IS THE BEST GAME (any kind of game)
one more turn, please!
I'm fairly sure that I have spent more time playing civ2 than all other games put together

TOT is best for scenario design, MPG for having the most scenarios to play, and SMAC(X) for having the most depth and best story. I too have spent more time with all the versions of Civ than all other games combined.
