  • Alpha Centauri by 1906!!!

    Plan calls for most SS parts to be completed on the 2nd turn, with lots of freight rushed on the first turn. We will completely ignore celebrations and food considerations in a couple cities.

    1 structural and 1 component will be completed this turn, 2 structurals, 13 components and 3 modules will be completed next turn and will be ready for launch. Proposed cost is approximately 5300 gold and 33 freight. We currently have 15 freights, with 24 proposed freight to be rushed, for a total of 39 freight - this allows for 6 to be used in Trade. Each additional freight used for Trade could cost up to 440 gold in rushing, if less than 6 are used in Trade, the reduction in cost is 200 gold. Reason for this is that any freights over 33 used for SS parts will be used to reduce cost in modules that are being rushed anyway. If less than 33 freights are used, it means that cities producing components won't be able to build them using their own production any more, requiring rushing of production that would have normally come from the city. ie rushing 110 shields instead of rushing 0-30 shields.

    With a little more micromanagement, we could reduce the number of freight by 5 at approximately 168-200 gold per freight, by buying structurals in WhereItsAt town, shady trees, Avila, St Praski and Valencia and then use 1 freight instead of 2. This would allow 11 freights to be used for Trade, although we'd want to be careful not to have freight stuck on the wrong continents and unable to be used, as we have an incomplete ferry system.

    Turn 1
    1 Structurals are to be completed in Salamanca this turn and started in Saragossa and Malaga next turn.
    1 Component should be completed in Granada this turn.
    We also plan to complete 24 freight the first turn.

    Turn 2:
    Proposed is modules in
    Seville (100/320)-> 880 gold
    Amazon Island (50/320)-> 1080 gold with freight
    Chii (300/320)-> 80 gold with 5 freight
    total: 2040 gold

    We will also have 13 SSC to complete in:
    Pamplona (1 freight)
    Capitol (1 freight)
    Leon (2 freight + 120 gold)
    Cordoba (2 freight + 120 gold)
    WhereItsAt town (2 freight)
    shady trees (2 freight)
    Avila (2 freight)
    Cadiz (2 freight + 120 gold)
    Salamanca (2 freight + 120 gold)
    St Praski (2 freight)
    Valencia (2 freight)
    Granada (2 freight + 120 gold)
    Whale Island (2 freight + 240 gold)
    total 840 gold

    Total cost of plan:
    1222 gold (turn 1)
    2040 gold (turn 2 modules)
    840 gold (turn 2 components)

    5102 gold.

    Total gold available:
    3134 gold (current balance)
    1700 gold (expected taxes)
    2400 gold (expected deliveries)

    we also can raise approximately 2500 gold from selling 7 universities (1120 gold) and 17 libraries (1360 gold) in 1 turn so we have in the vicinity of 10000 gold available to use if problems arise or if we need to raise funds for defense.

      hehe - it will go in 2 turns, as long as we don't get transports out of place or waste too much gold buying units straight up

      I wanted to be as specific as i could in several cases as while there is quite a bit of room built in, we still could get stuck with all the freight on one continent with Leon and Freeport, and all the cities building SS parts on another continent, which could delay launch even if we held a good-bye to Science fire sale

        Depends if we want to salvage Cremona, that will be the highest expense of rushing a fighter with the available shields.

        Sell these anyway, and use if your plan falls short as a result of unanticipated problems.

                      I've never liked real time games unless I can pause or really slow them down a lot.
