  • Foriegn Minister's Report: 1880, Vikings & China.

CHINA, IS AT WAR WITH US! And stealing Guerrilla Warfare might be handy...

Vikings- Republic, 837 gold, Cap: Trondheim, and researching: Medicine (still?) Hostile and at peace with us, and allied with the Mongolians and Carths, and no new techs.

China- Republic, 1562 gold, Cap: Beijing, and researching: Medicine. Hostile with us, at peace with us and allied with the Japs, and have Guerrilla Warfare.

if we get sidetracked on research, we could probably steal GW, otherwise its probably not worth it. Given that our rep is atrocious, peace does us no good - it just gives the AI a sneak attack bonus against us (i should have thought about that on the last poll ) Chinese shouldn't be a problem to trade with if done properly. Trade with Vikings (and mongols) would be greatly more viable with a railroad/trade port north of panama canal

I agree with SCG. What good does Guerrilla Warfare do us? All it'll do is add to the beaker cost of our current (and future) research.

If we are forced to choose GW as a research topic, then we should steal it. Until then, leave it alone.

And as I said in the Japan/Celt thread, we should set up one strongly defended shipchain towards the Chinese/Japanese continent, and run a few freights in there each turn.

I agree. The best reason not to need GW is to not lose any cities. And it seems that our President and Minister of War are doing a good job of defending our cities.

The Kazan Front has particularly impressed me!

And our cityplanner isn't doing to shabby either.

Welcome words, and I thank you for them. I said at the beginning of this term that it seemed like one of the best Cabinets for a while (and I didn't mean myself). I think everyone is doing a sterling job in this hardest part of the game (after the AI alliances start, but before the SS is launched).

If we are a bit prickly with each other, it's because of the interest in getting it all done properly. Dedication causes some friction. But nothing worth doing comes without some disagreement and contention.

            Onward to A/C we go!

it did take a few days to get everyone on the same page, didn't it I think the cabinet members better understand each others tendancies, strengths and goals now so should be much smoother sailing towards AC
