see my reply in the first thread you made.

life would be much easier with peace believe me but our former leader bushbear left us with a terrible reputation.

Sounds like my kinda guy . I think my last contact with a peacemaker was whilst scraping him off the sole of my jackboot as I goose-stepped across the shattered remnants of his homeland......

Don't I recall the Chinese having Pyramids? If we want to grow some larger cities (and I think we will need large cities later on), it will be much quicker if we capture the city containing this. I think from memory the Chinese were a small civ and militarily weak and might be a soft target for a swift and clinical strike, to take this 1 city. We're already at war with them, and if we've already got a bad rep surely it can't get much worse. Also, if Pyramids is in their capital, and we capture it, get some diplomats over there to bag some cheap "NONE" units around their other cities once they are "capitalless". These can wander about later, as a spoiling tactic with the other civs, even if we don't fancy all out war.

Gee, I kidnap a few Chinese scientists, drug them, wring their pathetic brains dry of all their knowledge, send them back to act as double-agents, and the rest of the world gets annoyed about it.

When they come to us suing for peace, we'll agree, but not one moment before that. The Chinese are an oragami tiger!

Keep bombarding them with vans, they are no threat to us anyway.

Also, with mike's, routes and markets we dont need Pyr to grow since we can just WLTP

No money for peace! Hit them with caravans when the supply/ demand match is right! Sink their ships if an invasion is on its way!

Eventually we might want to take the war to their shores but right now it would divert too many cities from other needed production (and risk too much unhappiness). After we have democracy, better shield production, and Suffrage the idea of sending the troops out might be more appealing.

Let the chinese remain at war with us if they insist, they will soon see the error of that decision.

Earwicker, you need to join the civ2 DG civ group soon, I've heard that DanQ is going to be making the forums read only for those who are not in the group soon.

Let's get them addicted to our trade goods- kinda wish we had opium listed, or maybe some more chill pills.

Then we will have peace with China

They won't even notice when we steal
                            techs from them.

Ask for peace - peace will increase profit from our
camels, but don't pay $$ or techs for peace.

Why waste time and vital shipping capacity on troops?
