did you wish me to give them all our techs and gold for peace?

I thought that would be silly but please poll the people and if they agree to peace at all cost then I will do that.

Do we have any ideal what thier troop strength is? That would be the deciding factor on the question of if we should give into thier silly demand for peace.

No strong views (for once) . They are bit players at the moment. However, the area around that Barbarian city is a tempting source of cheaply bribed "NONE" units if we can get a boat there with a diplomat.

If not, leave them alone for a while (give a tech or two to make peace, trade with them etc,) and concentrate on spoiling the expansion/growth of our main competitors.

I really don't care if the Carths are "at war" with us. They can't even protect their own cities from the Barbs they have allowed into their midst. When I have voted "peace" in the past polls, I meant that "we" should not attack "them". What they do is nearly irrelevent.

Send the Diplo mission to the barbs and give the Carths some hell....

, Messer Niccolo. Barb troops are cheaply bought and will keep the carth armies busy in their homeland. We should give them nothing to secure peace since we have little to gain by that peace.

Steal what tech we don't have. If at some point afterward they seek a ceasefire, we should do so only if it involves no cost to us.

If there is a safe waterway to a more distant trade partner, I would give precendence to it rather than trading with the nearby Carths. Save them only for emergencies or good supply-demand matches.

                          Yes they are rather pathetic,

One thing we can do after magnetism is empty out their coastal city's with frigates and let the barbs take over.

                          More NON units to bribe

Leave them with one city, though.
