I agree completely. I realized that I had gotten into a situation I had little experience with AND had little idea how to get out of. I was too focussed on the problem of the Zulu ships.

But my efforts to get someone else to take over failed in 2 successive months. Finally, to attempt to force a change in leadership, I withdrew from the game entirely (and the RL reasons were true also). If we have players available now to lead us in a new direction, I will be very relieved and eager to see the game continue.

I would have, but I was in no shape to take over during the summer, without a reliable internet connection.

If you feel currently able to fill a Cabinet position, step up and annnounce it. It appears the game is being resurrected, so this is an opportunity.

At the moment, it seems we have Ben Kenobi announcing as Consul and skrobism as Science Minister. I am willing to stand as Foreign Minister.

With a City-Planner and a Minister of War, I think there would be a viable government. The Leader (Consul at the moment) always has the option of seeking volunteers or doing some jobs him/her self.

In other words, if the announced candidate for Consul is willing to go with the announced candidates for Cabinet at any time, I will post election polls and he/she can handle the rest. There has been enough time for candidates to step forward.

I want to see a military advisor and a cityplanner, since those are the two most important cabinet ministers, and I am willing to wait for volunteers to step forward into those two positions.

If we do not get a volunteer for either of the positions within three days, then I am willing to stand without them.

I understand the fight against the Sioux, and I can serve as Minister of War in that regard if no one else will.

So we just need a City-Planner. MWIA? Bloody Monk? Hydey? Anyone? If someone wants to be Minister of War, I'll switch to City-Planner.

Uk! Sorry, missed it. Perhaps just as well, as I am now Consul (read: turnplayer, policy setter, responsible for discussing with other teams etc) for BOTH Apolyton Intersite Civ3 DGs at the same time!

Nevertheless, I will keep coming here and posting my thoughts, as long as I have something to post a thought on.
