For the most part the stuff going on in the RoN section is very similar to the posts pre-Civ III "Oh my god they have included feature x!" "If they don't do this I am going to be so mad." and "If the game isn't out soon, I don't care how many bugs, I might explode!"

Markos has been posting often and has a good handle on whats going on. And if you do see a bunch of spam that he has missed there is the great "report" link in the corner of every post to let them take a look.

Yes, I noticed some pretty blatant spam in the forum.
Nation States blatant spam? I moved there because I thought there was, but it's just RPGing, the only spam was buy Tassadar.

Demogames have more spam... much more

IIRC... there was no "spam" as such in sense of the word (i.e. several 1 word posts in a row), but it was easy to get a +1 for those with the post count in mind.

I think you'll find the blatant spam forums end in 'DG'
Actually, how can any post be spam in the DG? We have to poll for the opinions of people.

                  That being said,
all those who want to legitimately increase postcounts can join a DG.

                  Spammers can go to Nationstates.

DGs aren't spam fora, they are just generally easy to increase postcounts in.

Infact, some people in our DG are filing a case for spam, ironically enough.

AGAINST spam, against spam. I've been arguing that the constitution for the CtP2 DG implicitly gives the court a measure of power in regards to enforcing site rules, like no spamming. Afte several days no one has come up with an arguement that the court cannot do so, only why the court should not do so.

Well, the entire matter is in the staff's hands, not ours.

I notice MarkG has one too ... is there a thread about this that I've missed?

It is a new prospective advertising method.

                              Aaah ... I see.

It needs to be lined up on the left of the table cell, like the Avatar. It distorts the shape of the thread in its current form.
