A deleted post is just that... gone.

However, if you edit a post you have made (such as editing out the link to the porn site you put in), the post is still there even though the link isn't... and a edited by notation shows on the bottom.

So there is proof that you posted "something".

Although if you edit it within the first 5 minutes, even that wouldn't show.

But why bother, pm's would be more useful if you wanted to share that sort of stuff.
/me remembers the Wiglaf / Giancarlo wars.
Ahh, thats where people used the mighty edit button to some effect.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I thought i didnt post 8 times in that thread, i guess about 3 or 4 times, so can i have my posts back now? I was practically moderating that thread.. until you deleted it

Interesting news. The obvious answer is to diversify your posting into several threads, such that if any one thread is deleted, you do not lose out, and do not get excessive collateral damage.

              Only a suggestion.

The only difference between this post and the ones that put +1 after the post, is that your plus one is in the middle of the message.

It had a bit of self-mockery about it too. Not like the average in your face (lack of) humour that most posters go for.

Notice that my +1 was cleverly disguised in the text of my message.....
