I agree the 1 year rule should be reintroduced. Posting crap just to get a custom avatar seems hardly constructive and with the server load currently occuring due to the release of Civ3, spam is only going to make the situation worse.
Of course after reading this thread, I was reminded of the opening verse of the Queen song, Princes of the Universe.

Well alot of info here, cant read it all, I just want to have a cutom av. cause I like it, I really think that those Civ units are pretty uggly, and I prefer to use the same av. as I do in most other forums where I can change from default or whatever......
