Sounds good Mark, I agree that communicates. Without the exclamation mark sounds good too.

I wish that you could set up the poll so one could rank each selection so that if your first choice doesn't make it, then perhaps a second or third choice could. Is there a way to "weight" the choices? There were a few choices I feel equally about, but could only choose one. I think there are other who also feel this way. Maybe even a run off vote with the lower 25% pecentile being delted from the choices every month until the chioce has to be decided upon?

BTW, 1st choice : "Our words are backed with NUCLEAR WEAPONS!"
2nd choice : "You have unleashed a horde of barbarians!"
3rd choice : "Sire, your fame now exceeds even that of Dan Quayle"

My 3rd choice is just because some kid is going to ask "Who's Dan Quayle?"

Bleh. I think both "I Civ therefore I am" and "Get civilized" sound bland and unoriginal.
"Our words are backed with NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!" on the other hand had me laughing out loud.

You're right! I think I'll (If I just could ) Change my vote to "Our words are backed with NUCLEAR WEAPONS!" instead, that sounds more like Civilization

                  Or what about...

Sire, your fame now exceeds even that of Dan Qui... erm, Quayle
That adds a nice Apolyton flavoured inside joke/word-play/whatever.

Who the hell is Dan Quayle anyway.

I can't believe that the less interesting slogan seems to make it. "Get civilized!" could be on any T-Shirt, not only on that of Civvers.
But Get Civilized has this tongue in cheek double meaning and it's full of metaphores (not to mention some kind of irony) and it fits like a glove to civ and the tips about civ in this site

some of the other slogans are either too blant, too forward or too specific (like insider's jokes that noone gets - besides the enlightened ones of course ).

I´m not really in favour of the civilization game text lines (i.e. 1 to 4).

I can't believe that you people forgot to put this choice quote up for the vote: I have the leadership abilities of a canteloupe!

                              I CIV therefore I am...

Yeah I feel like being a dork and walking around school in that. I would be damn proud to wear that, actually!
