I agree with Bugs. About the only interesting thing about the post count was as an accurate record of the posts you made. Once they started dicking with it to make infantile punishments through PCR's it became meaningless.

Post counts are interesting if strictly used for chrome. It shouldn't be used as a measuring stick, particularly when some people are treated as less than equal than others. Some people like to post messages others don't. If you feel that a degree of contribution is needed before you can grant that person a special status it's fine, the problem arises when some contributions don't count. It seems that the Off Topic Forum is as much a part of Apolyton as every other forum.

I understand this was a <em>Civ</em> and gaming forum initially but Apolyton has evolved. Markos, doesn't the number of members affect ad income? Wouldn't it stand to reason then to draw in as many members as possible?
