            Tass, I fully support the right of anyone to express their opinions in non-violent ways. Feel free to burn the American Flag Santa! That is why this country exists(or why it is supposed to exist). So the answer to your question is that it was that incessant flashing that made me turn it off. But I can't say that I don't dislike burning our flag. I'm rather proud of it. Fortunately we live in a society where not only is there room for multiple opinions, but some still consider it healthy.

              BTW, does anyone know where I can get an el cheapo, yet reliable, PC? Any Web sites? Or might it be better to stick with Dell and other such makers (except for Gateway — they can burn in hell forever, IMO)?
              I'm quite happy with mine, though I think you'll be wanting a better computer. I have a Pentium 2. Got it for a little under 300$ without the monitor (I had one already.)

              Would you mine getting one used?

                ^^^No, that's fine, you can keep yours. I was at Wal-Mart today and saw an HP Pavilion for a little over $500, everything included. Yeah, I know, you're not supposed to buy from chain stores like that ... but, hey, I'd be getting it mainly for sh*ts and giggles (I do all my serious stuff on a Macintosh).

                Anyway, I'm still looking.

                    For a long time the civ2 forums hosted the civ3 ideas/wishes/rants.

                    So I think the civ3 forums would be a good place for discussion on civ4.

                      On topic: Please - no Civ4 forum as long as C3C isn't properly patched and therefore still somewhat open for suggestions.

                          as if any patch coming out will do more than fix a few bugs. No new ideas will be incorporated in a patch.

                              Nobody has yet announced and confirmed Civ IV. You're jumping into hasty conclusions. Let's just wait untill we know that there will be a Civ IV.
