i'm not a good marketer(?). i've always said that if anyone wanted a product that we hadnt put it in, we'd do it on demand. well, you asked for it, i had the obligation to do it

Yeah, that's part of his Brad's plan on attracting customers. He wrote an article on his blog.

If Panag's suggestion is implemented, I'm surely not going to stop blocking pop-ups on ACS for the nearby future. If ever. Ideas like that make ACS look like an adult entertainment website. Now you surely don't want ACS to be comparable with XXX pop-up jungles. The Gator and other scum was already enough. Now they'd better look into making reluctant members find interest in more openly supporting the site, rather than finding more plausible reasons not to accept being bugged.
Panag,
one pop-up at login; maybe, but heck there's others too. That calendar isn't anyway useful for me and many others, as the first day of the week is Sunday (American model, meh). Furthermore I have four unused vouchers from the banner making contests, so I can still redeem those and get to buy for the CafePress stock price. Actually I could as well make much cheaper a T-shirt locally with my own printer (I do have T-shirt iron on transfers) or get it done in a local store. Graphics can be easily obtained from Poly - just grab one of the logo images.
My point is that you won't get far by adding more pop-ups. Normal MSIE users will get scared away or get tired of having to close pop-ups. Also it undermines the interest of users like me who don't like aggressive ads, but would like to continue supporting ACS.

If the dates and the days of the week match, why does it matter what day of the week the calendars start?
Markos:
Well, that could be a good idea for a thread, how should RAH, Lord of the Ferrets, and MtG, Master Sargeant be represented on a calendar?

Because it's just annoying to have Sunday first, as one is used to having Monday first here. Not to mention that public holidays, flagging days and namedays are missing, which I myself give a high value. So for now the free calendar I have will do the work just fine - has all the dates, weeks, months, namedays, flagging days and public holidays.
I don't want to Americanise my time keeping.

you've got an interesting perception of permission and ownership
but i dare you to make a decent looking t-shirt with the logo found on the web....
