I just successfully put myself on my own ignore list!

People are on my ignore list without me having put them there. What's up with that?

Yes, it often crops up. Funniest part is MarkG is often ignored.

Yes, users which have been deleted from the database are automatically ignored. MarkG once had a problem with his account once and solved it by deleting his old account while creating a new one. So when you view old posts of him (of when he still had his old account), he will be on ignore. Same for a whole bunch of other posters who no longer exist, or exist under a new account.

Even when I ignore someone, overwhelming curiosity will always cause me to click and read every one of their posts no matter what.
