Another way of handling it could be to remove any postcount related titles. That would remove the incentive to spam with the intent of getting +1's, without removing the postcount as such.

Likewise, when we are talking about the community here, I pay more attention to the same because I know he has been around here a while and should be closer in touch with the pulsebeat of this community.
