Thank you for PF Horus and CEO Paul's responses.
PF Horus I just want to make it clear that I have never declared a vendetta against you. Your faction (automatically) declared against me whilst I was engaged with 'Police' action on my borders. I sent diplomats to you (I didn't know about having to offer somethng for the screen to pop-up) to say that and offering peace which from your post I see that you've accepted. You will soon see that the Drones are truthful and transparent in their intent and purpose.
You use quotes when you say I asked a faction to submit. These are unneccessary as it was a true request and I said I wouldn't hold it againt HObbes if he didn't accept. What I didn't ask for but demanded was the removal of another factions powerful forces close to my border. That reasonable demand was rejected and the consequences and the following 'police' action are clear for all to see.
Your choice of Divide and rule as a quote is an interesting one. The biggest threat to the Drones security is 'people of other lands' deciding to collude together to bring the most powerful faction down. This of course is a perfectly understandable reaction. But I wonder how much it has thought through? As PF Horus rightly boasts the Cloning Vats will allow his faction to expand at an amazing rate - much more so than the Drones and Paulites together. This changes the balance of power considerably. How will the Paulites respond to this to ensure their own security? My understanding of two even strength factions that try and work together against a common foe is that there can often be 'difficulties' in combining forces - because there is always 'afterwards'.
At the moment there is no other faction equal to the Drones. If they were to join up with another faction then a co-operative victory can both be shared and guarenteed. The rest is much more uncertain.
CEO Paul - I accept that you have declined my offer of a pact and I understand your demands. Thank you for the withdrawal of your forces from the Universities cities and I hope in future you will accept compensation for any casualites that your forces have suffered.
As to the ending of the Drones 'Police' action I am unable to comply with that at the moment until I get a full and detailed response from the Hobbits. Sadly I am not expecting such a response and in fact it might be too late for all forces to be withdrawn.

ps - I'm away for a day or so, so I won't be able to respond as quickly as the situation might demand.
