Hi Radi, this game is already started. You can start another game, though. Just start a new thread to advertise. Say whether you want to play the original SMAC or with the SMAX (Alien Crossfire) expansion. Some people will reply eventually.

Sometimes people play more than one at a time, so who knows, maybe some of us will join your new game if we have time.
