i notice a certain slowdown in things...

i have gained alot of experiance i feel in actually playing the game, and could take over if you want. cIV is not an excuse to fall behind on turn sending. (hope i do not sound to harsh here) and both mart and i would seem to be active enough to get it done timely.

Hercules, as for me you have the highest regard for the way you lead the faction within last few turns. And being for the turnplay counts a lot, even if the last turn was a bit late. Drogue is an excellent CMN here also.
I think though, that it is a good point. Kataphraktoi might take over for some time, so that would be less burden for current Dictator.
Hey, we might roleplay then about it. Change of a dictator is an excellent story to write about.

Ok the Dictator will go on a vacation after MY 2200. So Kata can stage a coup for 2201: a new century and all that.

For roleplay purposes we can stage this coup both here and in the public forum. Also it would be good for the other DJs to see screen shots of the latest turns

We will start the coup attempt during the receipt of the 2200 turn. It will be fought off but in the lead up to 2201 another attempt by Kata will be successful.

The turn is in. Drone riots in RPS, but they're easily fixed. Nothing unusual to be seen in the save.

i wonder when the spartans will ever get around to launching attacks on morgan.certainly they have the transports and means...i thought a tranny attack from the 14-30 line would be good,but all quiet.probably next turn,with the same idea of a 'next century and all that' lets see if my guess pans out

when shall the coup begin? upon the posting of 2199 and then i play+post 2200? or 2101,which is more scientifcly accurate as far as new century goes...

I intend to open discussions with gaians on where the game is headed,what we intend to do,etc. i would almost certainly go along for a gaian win,and thus before i do anything i pose the DA a question: attempt to propel gaian's to victory?

the way i see it

1.we were behind the others,and running poor SE
2. then,our industrial and military strength was largely destroyed
3.now,we can barely defend ourselves,let alone kill 3 human factions for victory.

IMHO we cant compete with the gaians,tech and industry-wise, but could support them militarily by focusing on minerals and making lots of cheapies. i know we elected a dictator, but its still a demo game as far as im concered,and i am interested in others opinions for my play. if no objections are raised,i will be playing towards gaian victory

...unless someone has a realistic way to win from here. we cannot transcend(spartans on the loose), econ victory is not plausable,and militarily, we lack in production.

the only hope for victory is that everyone destorys themselves fighting and we come out of the corner to sweep em up. that seems a little optimistic to me. if any consus was reached last time we discussed this,say it again because ive forgotten

We are 4 turns from Fusion (via our ability- Yang to discover in 4). I don't think we should rock the Yang boat until we get Fusion.

However I think we should open discussions with the Gaians re this proposal:

If we found a new base in the East, near the earlier base but not on the coast we could drop a probe into Gaian territory and with their permission steal Organic Superlube.

They would have to move their defensive probe out for one turn. The Morgans are researching Cent Empath, so us acquiring Org Super would not give that tech to Spartans.

It would however give us a superior weapon against Yang.
