Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
What we can do, as a substitute, is parking a bomber in Mart Pact and later in the new base and scout the former UN bases to see what's inthere. A bomber should be able to go there and return a few tiles so it wouldn't look to obvious.
And didn't you and Mart think that the Gaians could have infiltrated us last winter, Herc?

I have setup the new buildings as Geo proposed.
FH makes recreation commons also, there are 2 persons asking for it.
We might do crawler from GM rehoming next turn. It is now 3 tiles from the GL base, so it would have to spend idle turn there. In this case, I would propose rotate 2 crawlers. The GL one leaves the mine 27,75 and goes to forest 30,76. The GM crawler goes to mine 27,75. GL can run this one turn on -1 nutrient. We will fix it next turn. This way we can use GL crawler for HSA insted of GL one.
I thought of a change as for the LIT proposal. Taking that crawler from the tile where drop probe is now will spend 3 LIT turns. We may do it better. This turn LIT helps two formers that just completed the solar colector to use these very turns to speed up borehole near SH. This way we will have it in 3.5 turns (2190 for worker placement). In 2188 LIT will move towrds EM and insted of that GPlex crawler possibly take the EM crawler. This would additionally help us get borehole 3-4 turns faster. I think it is worth it. Tile 24,64 can be worked afterwards. We may have some new clean formers in 2191, if everything goes fine.

What we urgently need, is infiltration of Spartans.
I thought about it, and if we cannot infiltrate one of the ex-hive bases taken by Spartans, then we probably will do it when in war with them.
Spartans are too much profesional to do leave a base without a probe team. So I seriously doubt we gonna have a chance of doing Spartan Infiltration in peace time.
And it appears they stopped offensive against Yang. I wonder if it is good or bad. It may be as the outcome that they still do not have drop ability. On the other hand, they might try to hit one of our bases. Imagine Spartans take over the Heavens Gate. We should reinforce this base. AAA unit there?
Silsteel would be great technology now. AAA units in aerospace complexes would have 16+ on the defense.
100% for AAA
100% for aerospace complex
may i ask how they will attack that base with air units? there isnt anything within 8 tiles. they cant drop it.cant hit it.not on the first turn of the attack anyhow
however, the base has no defensive units at all. that *is* a prob. a drop elite rover could still take the base,or a few of them, quite easily
editthough we dont really have much of our bases defended in that manner
edit2;why do we have a base named after snowflake?i thought i saw him on S member list

if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it
''Oh,Commissar,if we could put the potatoes in one pile, they would reach the foot of God''.But,replied the commissar,''This is the Soviet Union. There is no God''.''Thats all right'' said the worker,''There are no potatoes''
Yes, the Heaven's Gate is very important. Any land units will be much easier to forward to Hive region through there. Also it is now a very well economically developed place.
Snowflake is a CMN in this game. All CMN are members of all factions.
Good proposal as for the rainy tile north of HS. It will then have 3 nutrients helping popboom HS or HG, and we get 5 minerals to either HS or KP.
Bases within air range for Spartans are Mart Pact, Hercules Station and Heavens Gate. That's why I proposed to park a bomber in MP to scout the nearest Spartan base. Additionally, we could park a number of F6's in Mart Pact/Heavens Gate as well, just in case they have assembled their airforce already. They should have Chaos Gun now, so in a number of turns they could construct and deploy them. Don't think they'll be able to upgrade yet, we 'took' energy they could use for that from under their noses.
I think Mart Pact should get an AAA plasma defender ASAP as well. Remember, Spartans had a probe cruiser in the area. After it's action last turn it should have returned to the nearest ex-UN base, and could be on the move now to one of our bases. If for instance Mart Pact or Heavens Gate is 'emptied' by an air assault, they could infiltrate us and call it peace afterwards again, as a sort of satisfaction for us not returning the energy at once.
Therefore, I think we should this turn make it very publicly that we're prepared to pay back, but still want to negotiate about the way how to do it as you proposed already, Mart.

Geo, Do you propose just to:
- check the Yang Mine for encryption and then return to the fungus tile where foil probe now is, or
- probe now if not encrypted?
- check Labor Network too? and withdraw the foil probe where?
Wait one, I see we have a bomber already in MP and HS. We could do scout Fort Sol and Defiance Freehold already, and decide on the number of airforces we see send our fighters to the base within Spartan range.

Only checking for encryption. And if so, I propose to bring our foils in the area near Paradise Swarming. They can be covered there as well if necessary. I suppose we better wait for probe raping Yang when all our foils are in position, but it would help to know what bases to avoid. Yang Mine and Labor Network have been in range of Spartans for quite a while now. Perhaps we could ask the Gaians as well in what Hive bases they have used probe teams/foils.

Geo, I have tried scenario editor and unfortunatelly we will not be able to check the base and then withdraw:
- if the base is encrypted, then we can withdraw
- if the base is NOT encrypted, the "blame other faction" screen has no "cancel" button. We have to do it just in the turn we are sure we want to infiltrate Yang.
In that case I suggest putting our foils in a position where they can strike at more then one or two bases in the same turn. Actually, it makes sense if we would do a probe team strike at Yang Mine, regardless of encryption status, saving our 2 foils in the area for other bases.

I agree with this.
This buys us time.
On the ISDG 2012 team at the heart of CiviLIZation
DPS Roze might approach Paradise Swarming then. Current Foil Probe could use Yang Mine or when withdrawing still use Labor Network, but only if Yang does not block the way there with some his foil.
So meanwhile the foil remains in the fungus where it was?
