Ok, I will take the Gaian Pact to Infotrader thread. Good suggestions re no. 2. I haven't received any reply from them yet, and Eventis looks like down again for me. I have to check again. My link is dead anyway, but I could be wrong about the site availability.

Also below is the plan for the probe action. We use
1 point to enter river - hopefully empty
1/3 along the river - hopefully empty
2/3 for action - hopefully we will not put into action the following plan...

if we are screwed up:
1/3 along the river back (green line)
1/3 trying to reenter starting tile. Low chance of success, but who knows, it's commando probe.
If this last attampt fails, the probe team will remain in the base radius.

In case of a redrawal, it is certain that the probe can enter the river fungus tile. There's of course a chance that native life is present but that's a risk for sure since we're so close to a fungal tower there.

Let us hope though, it will not be necessary.

An extra benefit of moving the probe towards the fungal river tile (in case of redrawal) is that the transport foil can already go south as well. IIRC there were plans to infiltrate the PK's as well so...

But here's another option. If Mendelev College has a probe defender, or even if it does not, can I skip probing Mendelev and move forward towards the Spartan base.

The rationale for this is that the Uni are fully controlled by the Spartans, hence no real tech steal advantage beyond what we have.

I don't think the Spartans know we are in the neighbourhood of one of their outlying bases and so will be less probe security conscious. Unless they see us within an Uni base radius.

That is quite possible, as there is no chance of moving along the river near Mendelev college and omit the base radius with 2 move points. Also, since Tegea Harbour is a coast base it may have a probe team. Fort Liberty might be maybe more appropriate.
Probing Spartans is very tempting. I only wonder what are our chances.

We have a mindworm next to RPS, I had a fungal bloom next to Kodycryptor, we can choose EnvEcon if we wish to as next research. And we'll meet Zakharov of course. He's a bit belligerent, aks for IntelInteg but does not wish to trade or pay for it. The game offered Secrets of the Human Brain as return tech. He does propose a Peace Treaty, but also aks for common war against the Morgans. He won't stop this war.
O yes, probe foil spotted at UN High Commission, I suppose it will be Morganic.

Since this move had to happen, I already approached the Uni base. It's guarded by a Spartan foot probe.
Therefore I do recommend placing the probe back in the river fungus when he returns from his contact mission.

We can lower our psych allocation to 30% if we upgrade 2 scouts to police scouts (Kodycryptor and Verres' Loft).

It quickens our research with 5 turns as well if we do so.

More infiltrator reports: all Morgan bases still exist, only one base (WhoHabitat) is under offshore artillery fire.

We have still not received SFF through our infiltration.

What is our next tech choice.

Here is the choice I have offered to me:

Doc: Ini, SFF, Poly Software, Cyberethics, Plan Economics and Non Linear Maths.

I presume it is not Non Linear or SFF for a start, but do we want Cyberethics (Plan Data) and en route to Pre sentient Algorithms, Plan Econ ( Ascetic Values) or Doc: Ini or Poly soft.

I agree on that. I wouldn't be surprised if all Uni bases and Spartan are by now guarded by foot probes. They have EcolEng for longer than us. Making those 2 row probes would be very easy for them. We should hide and attempt other place. I agree on retreat to fungus.

I am inclined towards Cyberethics because it was a tech we discussed as next during the Spartan Gaian DA tech leapfrog. Also it gives us another SE setting if necesary. And Knowledge is quite good for us DA's isn't it?
