          Ahh - the Gaians then

          (Oh, no, that's under the covers) with the "running naked through the trees" hippies, not undercover - the latter'd be the Angels}

          • Your remark is the most pleasant mission Angel Operatives have found themself in to date... Spartan HQ adjudants are simply too unaccustomed to a hedonistic lifestyle to be true sybarists, not to mention they need to conceal it sufficiently from the Spartan faction commanders. *whistle in the wind*

            • Status Update

Commlinks have been established between Angels, Spartans, and Gaians, however only Angels have answered my queries. This would lead to a few hypotheses:
              • Perhaps the Angels truly do have superior networks
              • Perhaps the Morganites' attention to profits have left their internal communication systems faulty.
              • Perhaps the Gaians are not interested in my arrival since they are not interested in answering my questions.

The time spent waiting has been well invested. My people have designed a Chiron simulation which fairly accurately portrays human life in an environment much like yours. My interaction is through a simple and direct interface, from which I take "hold" of a faction, and "play" his actions. To remain impartial to the candidates, I have chosen to "play" as Chairman Yang. He is dominating in my simulation much like he is dominating in your world.

More time will be granted before my departure to Chiron.

Preliminary intelligence data suggests that said simulation is running under a series of constraints known as "Citizen."

                • I deem to disagree with our newest inhabitant of Planet. Mr. Chang clearly shows elaborate speech patterns and should be considered a Librarian at the least.

Your familiarity with how our simulation works is stunning. Since my recent transmissions through these commlinks has been the first communication established between humans and my people, the only logical conclusion is that humans have also developed their own simulation much like my own. There is one major difference however. My simulation does not have a difficulty parameter. It was designed to immitate your world, with all of its difficulties and setbacks. Adding to that thought, what good would a simulation be if it did not accurately portray what needed to be simulated. Admittedly, a "difficulty" setting would be an interesting avenue to pursue. It could be useful as a teaching tool to wean young beings with leadership or politics in their future.

Perhaps a few inhabitants of Chiron would like to run a few simulations with me. Although respectable, the artificial beings designed to imitate human behavior in my simulation are lacking.

My use of the simulation has created a philosophical thought which plagues my mind. What if we are all nothing but characters in a real simulation? Our very minds controlled by higher beings we cannot comprehend? Perhaps this being is the God your very own Sister Miriam is always touting about. Another possiblity would be smelly nerds sitting at their computer desks at night because they have nothing better to do. What a thought!

My understanding of these "emoticons" is growing. The way they add intonation to speech is very interesting.

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Clearly any correct intuitions I have had about your reality are exceeded by yours of my own.

                          Or should I rather say:

As the Lord of Progress I must admit that upon learning the skill of Empathy Gaian people can read peoples minds at high efficency.

Latest experiments allow to read thoughts at the level of emotion which they cause..

Some masters as our new promising member murielwasser show great skills - they can even understand some simplest concepts of the persons mind.

                            • Out of personal curiousity (having just read Starship Troopers), how similar does the Spartan Federation view itself compared the Terran Federation from Starship Troopers?

I can speak only for myself, but I don't appreciate that kind of fanatics. Blind followers, with bad leadership.
                                Seriously. Kung freaking fu.
