  • Now now, E_N. My recommendation to b_c was a strategic one - he's prolly one of the best players in this game (as you and I will find out soon enough much to our disadvantage)

big_canuck is the author of the famous Hive's one-turn 20-tile landbridge, with roads and magtubes, into the heart of Tau Ceti's PK empire and capture of some 12 bases that same turn (took 375 formers or something like that IIRC) When TC opened the turn he had no army nor airforce, and only a handful of pretty miniscule bases.

(you had to be there - I was b_c's pactmate agaisnt Tau Ceti and Misotu in a classic 2 x 2 match)

The link to the last turn of that epic game is here

    • Hi to big_canuck, Googlie has raved so much about you and I fully agree that your presence in gaians will help significantly with team balance.
Obstructor is pretty good with organisation issues and I'm sure he'll get you settled in soon.

      • Hi, big_canuk! Welcome to the Gaians! Don't mind Lily. You'll see her hover around sometimes, but she's friendly. Most of the times she likes to play in the fungas.

          Disadvantage?
And what if one of us ends up allying with the Gaians?

big_canuck blah blah blah blah blah blah
We've all had our moments of brilliance.
Just that b_c had only one worth remembering, and I produce so many that you get desensitised to them.

          • Enigma: You may be brilliant, but we haven't seen that here yet, at least when it comes to results. I'm quite glad I'm modding this time, there's some fearsome opponents, whichever team you pick

            • Well, yeah. The future will hold the proof.
              ...
the DISTANT future, it seems. If it takes this long to play 2103, then the Gaians might need a few extensions to play 2150.

              • If you haven't noticed, yesterday was July 4th. As soon as our turnplayer gets online he will play the turn. Simple? Yes. There was such a case in your faction recently.

                • Hmm, Googlie invited b_c to the Gaians when obstructor said they had activity problems. However in the meanwhile the Gaians have the second most members, and according to Pholus Lunar Newscast the second most active forum.

Ah well, I would have preferred you, big_canuck, to join Sparta, but of course I wish you lots of fun with the Gaians!

                  • Actually Sparta and Gaians have equal number of members. We have second most active forum because we do not use off-poly ones.

LOL - I was actually trying to steer b_c away from Morgan - he's an awesome Morgan player
