Working away at it. I'm slow but steady. I know its frustrating when you want a project to be done and you wait and you wait and then the creator abandons it. I won't let you down like that.

Thanks and keep up the good work. I have a feeling that this scenario is going to be amazing. I mentioned it at Civ Finatics in a thread by someone looking for good mods.

I know it's just an incredibly minor issue, but still...Last edited by Adc; December 15, 2002, 00:09.

Oh btw, I might release a 100x100 map "preview" version in January. Reasons for this:
1. It allows you to play sooner
2. It allows the community to see the rules I have planned and comment on them.
3. The whole thing can be done quite fast. 100x100 maps are 1/5 or 1/6 the size of giga maps, and also, more of the cities I will be placing are big and well-known. I'll be able to do Europe and North America almost without an atlas.
4. Some people don't want a huge turn wait anyway.
5. Having something actually released draws more feedback, and thus creates a better scenario.
6. I am damn tired of placing Siberian and Kazakhstani cities.
So it seems like a good idea to me. Mencey's 100x100 map will be used. (Marla's for the big version)"You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Your favorite team, in any sport, is the one that just won. If you were a woman, you'd likely be a slut." - Slowwhand, to Imran

This is going by really fast. I just started an hour and a half ago on the "preview" map. I'm doing the most tedious stage, placing cities. I already have Africa 60% done, Europe done, Australia done, North America 30% done, and Asia 40% done. I go on break next friday, but I'll be in Cincinatti and unable to work for the first few days. After break I have exams, but then things will be good again."You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Your favorite team, in any sport, is the one that just won. If you were a woman, you'd likely be a slut." - Slowwhand, to Imran

JW: if you don't get too tired, it would be nice to have the a 140x140 world map version of kal-el http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=68517
i won't even try the giga map (not with a P-III/450) and 16 civs on 100x100 is slightly crowded- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

Hmm, maybe. Isn't two sizes each for both PTW and 1.29 enough though?"You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Your favorite team, in any sport, is the one that just won. If you were a woman, you'd likely be a slut." - Slowwhand, to Imran

Man, if it is about size and importance, it is São Paulo (or Saint Paul). 16 million people, greatest industrial park of latin america, one of the world´s largest cities, pretty wealthy and all. And pretty cultured and all... if you need help with latin america, just ask.
But hey, maybe Forbiden palace at buenos aires or saint Paul. Who knows...Señor Nuclearis Winterius the III,

Excuse me if I've missed anything in this thread which makes the following message irrelevant or stupid:
Regarding the Middle East: This is an area of world which is of great signifigance to the entire globe, especially in these "war on terror" days, and it is very important to get the crack and fissures between states right. There should be no huge Muslim bloc, as one does not exist in real life. The most simplistic way to break it down would be:
1. Israel allied with US
2. Iran should be on its own in my opinion, or with Russia.
3. Iraq should be on its own, maybe allied with Venezuela and other disliked states...
4. Jordan, Syria and Egypt could perhaps form a "moderate Islamic bloc"
5. Pakistan with China or the US
6. Afghanistan torn between the Pakistan-Iran-Central Asian blocs, with American/NATO troops floating around...
7. Saudi Arabia and the gulf states should either be their own bloc or with the US.
8. Turkey should arguably be on it's own.
9. Sudan should be with whomever is on the side of the "terrorists", if you're including that in the scenario.
Life is complicated in the okiumene...You can't fight in here! This is the WAR room!

Central Africa, maybe Joseph Kabila? There's hardly a secure leader in the entire region though...
India - Atal Behari Vajpayee is the current Prime Minister.
Have you considered:
Olesegun Obasango of Nigeria? (relatively powerful)
Hugo Chavez of Venezuela? Venezuela is a major oil exporter and Hugo Chavez is a maverick, and a real character... he survived a coup attempt backed by Washington.
And then, Hu Jintao is a new supreme leader of China.
Is Indonesia included? Megawati Sukarnoputri is the leader. You can't fight in here! This is the WAR room!

The forbidden palace could be in Buenos Aires, because that would diminish the corruption in the southern cities, and because Buenos Aires is the second biggest city in South America, San Paulo has 16 million inhabitants and Buenos Aires 13 million inhabitants.
In that way, you would have the capital city in the biggest country, and the forbidden palace in the other main partner of the Mercosur.Periodista : A proposito del escudo de la fe, Elisa, a mà me sorprendÃa Reutemann diciendo que estaba dispuesto a enfrentarse con el mismÃsimo demonio (Menem) y después terminó bajándose de la candidatura. Yep, I've been watching Boulboulgadol for a while now.
I think there's a challenger 2 coming out by someone, so in a little bit we'll have all the tanks we need."You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Your favorite team, in any sport, is the one that just won. If you were a woman, you'd likely be a slut." - Slowwhand, to Imran
