I'm of course refering to the default victory conditions for this scenerio.

If it's been altered to disallow VPs unless 50 turns get hit without a domination, it would make the game somewhat easier for the allies. Japan is even less likely to hit domination condition prior to the default game winning score than the allies.

But it would still make a lot of sense to make the Japanese pay as dearly as possible for every city they capture.

Yes, Inf is more important for all Dutch cities than Flak at this point.

On Malaysia, at this point, a better move for the UK than either the Dutch or US. (Because the UK still has the cities there.)

UK would also need to ensure they don't send too many units there, just a few to convence the Japs to send a lot of their units there instead of the islands leading to Australlia would be ideal.

Dont forget the draft! Rush a couple of workers for airfields to link your remote islands.

As I recall, Rubber is needed for all Tank types, because I recall Japan in my game disconnecting me from my last source before I could reroad the previous one and losing the ability to build them for a couple of turns.
Rubber and Oil are the most important resources in this game and Japan has only 1 of each when the game starts. Cutting off/denying these resources to Japan is critical to winning this game.

For the US: Guam and the Philippines are immediate targets, make sure you protect them. Guam already has an airport move as much force as possible to Guam before the war starts. Manila and Davao should rush a worker for Airfields for use on turn 2. Wake will be a target by turn 3 or 4, make sure its reinforced after Guam, Manila, and Davao. Draft as many GI's as you can.

Who needs gold the most? I don't need to spend 1000g that I have this turn.

Also, Godking, please send me furs on your next turn, as the Japs bombed mine.

OK, I realized that that was a dumb question... I am just going to forward on 1000g, and whoever needs it can partake. I'm going to bang out the turn now.

Sorry, guys, if I am not communicating or commanding as well as I should. I am un-used to this format, and I am still hesitant about fully posting in an open thread.

I've just sent the turn on to GK... I had no combat this turn, rather positioned for overall strategy. Well, let me re-state that: I am positioning for the US strategy, and do not yet have a clear picture as to how to coordinate our various assets. If I understand the scenario correctly, Japan already accomplished great things, having taken the US possessions in the western Pacific... so be it. Until we have a better coordinated vision of the field.... stand fast, do the best you can with what you know, take down Carriers and Transports where possible, bombard/pillage rubber and oil, and LET'S FIND OUT WHERE THEY ARE!!!

I'm not posting a screenshot on this turn, because frankly I have nothing to report... all I know is that there is a massive Jap fleet somewhere to the north of Hawaii, but I do not know where. Very frustrating!

Doing all the stuff I gather is important: cash rushing, drafting, air transport, etc. Gotta surprise in mind for Japan, one that I am guessing is not the norm in PBEMs!

In the meantime, I cannot stress enough, again, how great it would be to take out Japanese rubber. Other than that, HOLD THE LINE!!

One tactic to keep Japan from getting money when capturing cities is the floating tresuary option.

Have the human allies keep forwarding the tresury at the end of turn to the next human ally on the list, along with saying how much min cash they want there to be on their turn.

Yes, that is what I determined to do when playing my turn... we should just keep forwarding the majority of our gold around, while maintaining our respective max research rates.

Killed 1 SS south of Truk with a SS, took 2hp damage (4 tiles due south)
Killed 1 CA by Sibu by use of a bomber and 1 SS
Killed 1 Nip infantry outside of Singapore (5hp), lost one Anzac infantry in the process (2hp).

I lost 2 bombers and 3 fighters (I think) with the loss of Sibu, so I am down to 1 bomber and 2 fighters for my entire air force, all are located in Singapore. I have 2 cities making bombers at 2 turn intervals, so I should be able to ship them to Singapore shortly and make the ocean a hell on Japan. Singapore is being reinforced so much that I don’t expect japan to be able to take it without some serious losses… losses he will not recover from. And if he does take it, I have a new airport in Myitkyina so I can start to bring in lots of light tanks shortly.

I sent 1000 gold to China, next on the list, as I rushed a lot of items the previous turn and I didn’t want to pay full costs for rushing anything this time around. I am running a small deficit to keep researching Heavy Bombers in 3, and I will continue to do so for this and the next tech, in which case I will go for lots of gold to rush units left and right. I think I will research Medium tanks next, and with the US researching marines now, we should be golden.

The US should go for the Naval Academy next, and then go for Nukes. Looking at it, I would suggest China and the Dutch go for minimal science and max happiness and gold.

The Jap fleet as shown consists of:
                  1BB and 1 CA
                  1 DD
                  1 BB, 1 CA, 1 DD
                  1 CA, 1 Transport
I will whittle away at their CA’s and DD’s with my small air force for now, and use my sub if it is still alive next turn. If Paddy can take out that DD with his sub, both of our subs may have a chance as I don’t think that CA’s have the ability to see them.

I am also poised to take Rangoon back next turn, I have 3 infantry, one flack and my only light tank sitting outside, and one artillery (which as a reminder cannot be airlifted) waiting to assist. Hopefully japan is to spread out to take out my army and to also hurt China, so if you are going on the offensive, do so next turn.

Killed 1 BB near Sibu by bombing.
Took back Rangoon with 0 losses (well, 1 hp on an infantry). Not sure, but I think I killed one elite infantry and 4 green infantry.
Lost one 1 hp sub to a 3 hp sub between Truk and Rabaul, but took it down to 1 hp.

Took the screen shot prior to bombardment. I hit the DD and took it down to 1 hp, and the transport is now showing…. In case anybody has something that can take it out.

Outside Sibu is one BB and 2 CA.

Still running a small deficit, so I didn’t pass on any gold. Will have Advanced air in 2 turns, and am thinking about switching to gold at that time instead of pushing for tanks early. What do you think?

Killed 5 units inside Rangoon, including a light tank and a para, but still could not retake it. Sent in some reinforcements to help out a bit next turn.

Killed an annoying little Combat Flame Thrower Dude.

I air explored Kudat, and it only has 1 artilery in it. Good spot to try for Paddy with your 1 hp unit, as by striping one of their other cities, I may be able to take it back for you, and if they don't, well, you have a home to rest in.

When I killed his CI, I got a Great Leader. I was able to successfully air lift him back to my homeland. I am debating what to use him for, and am asking for your advice:

Wait til manhantin project, so we can build nukes ASAP
Wait for Medium Tanks, and build a tank army to get China some land back
CIA Headquarters - so we can gain some inteligence on his military disposition.

I transfered all my extra gold and 1 city to the US for their use (heal those ships friend), along with Iron.

                        Sent China Coal.

Will soon be sending Paddy some major military might.

Who is researching what? I will have advanced Aircraft next turn. I NEED MARINES and Medium Tanks. Paras would be nice as well. I think USA was doing marines, and if they are still on schedule, I should be getting them next turn as well. Excelent. If so, I will lower research a bit and start popping out units.

Will China start drafting units ASAP, same to you Paddy. Defend those cities as much as possible, and make the bastard Pay for each inch of ground. He is way to over extended. When you want a mainland base Theseus, ask and I will give you one with an airbase so you can load up quick. But give me a few turns to be able to relocate and make sure that I have my own ass covered.

Good Job BTW in killing off those carriers. When I send you Long Range Bombers, try and rush one, ship him to Midway, and you should be able to keep after his fleet until it is sunk.

                          1. GL... I have no idea!! Good though. Army seems silly, unless you have a major attack ready. IA? I am 2 turns from it, but maybe you should do it instead and I'll build something else.

                          2. Thanks for sending on the gold... it's been a major mishap that we haven't been doing so for the last two turns.

                          3. I will have Amhib War next turn, and will forward it to all.;

                          4. Drafting - I did not understand how important this can be... drafted down as close to 7 and 13 pop as I could this past turn.

                          5. Don't worry about sending me LBRs... the Japanese attack fleet is MINE.

On what to use a MGL for, it depends upon which player and if you've mobilized for war.

Remember that Great Wonders can not be rushed with MGL in conquests, so unless MP is a small wonder in this conquest, it can't be used.

Also note that any small wonder not marked as a miliatary one can not be used by anyone who has mobilized for war.

                            Some cool small wonders:

                            1. There's one that both increases movement of all naval ships by 1 and also spawns a naval unit for free every X turns.

                            2. Military Academy functions exactly like the Pentagon.

                            3. The History of WW II functions exactly like the Heroic Epic. (Including being marked as relgious so if you've mobilized for war, you can't read it.)

                            4. Armies composed of tank units of the same type are very useful on the Asian mainland for the increased movement.

naval acadamy, creates a destroyer every 12 turns, and increases shipmovement by 1. It is a small wonder and requires Naval Tactics. This is the next project I suggest the US researches - for just this project for them. For me, it is minimally benificial.

History of WW2 and Military acadamy require a victorious army, so I need to create an army first. I would prefer to wait for Medium tanks to do that.

Battlfield Medicin is available right now, along with Inteligence Agency. Minimal benifit IMHO, particularly as Theseus is builing the IA and can do whatever any of us need.
