  • @Curt: Sorry to take so long getting back to you. The cities I need are as follows, with their place on the pallette in brackets:
-Thai and Dutch East Indies (Bronze Age)
-Neutrals (Nepalis, Bhutanis, and Mongolians) and Communist Chinese (Ancient)
    -Nationalist Chinese (Far East)
    -Japanese (Medieval)
    -Soviet (Industrial)
    -American (Modern)
    -British Indian (Renassaince)
I need them all in WW2 style. I think I sent you my current cities.bmp on my thread though.

    • Aha!

Now I remember! This is what happens when I don't update my to-do list!

I am half way through these, and will get on them with all speed!

Are you happy with me using similar versions to the ones I have posted here?

      • It's funny, the 1940s are probably among the least studied eras in architecture history, yet they are all the rage in Civ scenario making.

                Heh!

Is a BA in 20th century architecture a requirement of modding?

When we can add authentic corinthian pillars or mock classical facades
in the meagre pixel spaces civ gives us, we will be getting somewhere!

                @Exile:

Is this a request from the benighted one?

Babylon, Assyrians, Egypt, Eastern Bronze age mix...

I reckon that will be four city styles in all...No sweat!
It shall be done with all haste! (or sometime early this week!)

The opposite ought to be true though. Representing a building or an entire city in a space only a few dozen pixels wide forces one to distill out the very essence of the style.

                      • Curt, are you drawing anything new yourself, or are you just remixing CtP buildings? I can't figure it out.

                        • I use a bit of both, but take a look at them dude, and you'll see that these are no mere rip-offs.

I do put some work into them!

Curt, I was just kidding around. There's no urgency to this request. Whenever you can get to it.

It just seemed that you were in the city-making-mode and I'd take advantage of it to get some new graphix.

But hey, go for it. It's about time there were some new, high-quality city graphix out there for the ancient period.

They've had a lot of work put into them by Curt if you compare, both in terms of layout and shading. A vast improvement, I'd say.
