Reimplementation I would say. Taking individual set pieces, improve them and put them into a new setting. At first I had a hard time spotting the similiarities with CtP2. Very subtle, and nicely done.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

          • Now you'll have to do it again, or face the Doilek!

Fairline, I challenge you to come up with the ultimate city icon! The hidden city of Gahr Ez Birj in the upcoming El Aurens 2 can have any icon you desire! Right now, it's Sir Bobby Charlton. The scen won't be ready for beta for about 1-2 months, but your entry must remain a secret until then. Are you up for it?

                • Well Gareth I'm almost certain Doctor Who was available down in the states, as I'm sure the channel I watched it on when I was a kid was the Buffalo PBS station. Man, just hearing the opening theme song sends chills down my spine again.

Also, in hindsight Doctor Who is NOT appropriate television for a six year old , man the nightmares I used to get from that show were intense. In any case, I am waiting in eager anticipation for the new version of the classic, I just hope it can stay true to the original while taking it further than was possible in the days of yesteryear.

                  • On Daze of Yore . . . .

Yes, Doctor Who WAS on in the USA many years ago, appearing on the educational networks. I contrast it with more expensive programs that, while they have more realistic SFX, often don't have a plot to speak of. I could always count on Doctor Who to have an intricate storyline. Now why can't hollyweird learn from Tom Baker, et al. ?

Ok, who is going to put together the Doctor Who scenario now?

                    • There is an idea!

I always liked that stuffy Brit officer, who sometimes teamed up with the Doctor.

That toilet paper would certainly sort out your Nobby Stiles. Ouch!

Does it have to look like a city or can I make it anything?

Jon Pertwee was the Doctor when I first started watching (showing my age here!), but Tom Baker is the Doctor. The bloke is just as eccentric in real life; he started out as a monk but didn't like the celibacy / abstinance from drink aspects of his vocation, so he became an actor

Bizzarrely the Beeb have cast a proper actor as the new Dr Who in Christopher Ecclestone. Should be interesting to watch...
