            Map Size Factor

            I see no effect of a map size! I tried Normal, Small (40x50), Large (75x120) and Seeds of Greatness scenario size (86x116) maps and there is no difference:
            Examples are attached: all maps are MGE, distance 10, domestic trade, undemanded commodity, same continent, Navigation/Invention/turn200 already (no x2 multiplier).
            Revenues always copy the expected revenue of the normal map:
            BTA=4: 1 gold
            BTA=5,6,7: 2 gold
            BTA=8,9: 3 gold
            BTA=10,11: 4 gold
            BTA=12: 5 gold
            Edit: BTA (Base Trade Arrows) = Total Base Trade

            Samson, do you have a savegame of your testing?

              Aargh! I didn't read the page 2 of this thread before posting my last submission...

              I will try to rephrase the rule to find out if I understand well:

              A game started from the main menu ("Start a New game", "Customize World", "Start on Premade World", "Begin Scenario") has always a correct MapSizeFactor. This is not true for a loaded game:
              A loaded game that was originally started as "Start a New game" or "Customize World" has always a correct MapSizeFactor.
              Civ2 remembers/stores the Map Size of the last "Start a New game" or "Customize World" game (of the last game start (by main menu) or also a loaded one??). A loaded game that was originally started as "Start on Premade World" or "Begin Scenario" has a MapSizeFactor that corresponds to that stored value.
              Is it correct?

              Still...The .zip file in my last post here contains games started as "Start on Premade World", but I can't get the MapSizeFactor to work.
              10 BTA shall produce 4 gold of revenue with normal size map, and 3 gold with large size map. But the LargeMap.sav always produces 4 gold...

                Help! Is there any reason for no bonus!?

                I am having trouble figuring out why the delivery bonus of the caravan from Genoa to Kazan seems to be lacking a road/rail bonus.

                Here's the data:
                Ancient Age
                Research: 256
                Genoa: X,Y,T = 27,59,10
                Kazan: X,Y,T = 33,57,15
                Commodity: Copper (in demand)

                Math:
                Xdist=33-27=6, Ydist=59-57=2
                Distance = (6+2)/2+(6-2)/4=5
                Base Pay = (5*1+10)*25/24=15
                Same continent
                Same civ: 15/2=7
                Caravan
                In demand: 7*2=14
                Road: 14*1.5=21
                Age: 21*2=42

                Deliver Payoff: 42

                However, the actual payoff comes out as 28!! The only way this could be is if the game is not giving me a transportation bonus. I want to know why it is not working. I have checked the GOTO path between both cities in each direction, and units will always follow the roaded path.

                  My guess is that your shortest path is the long way around.
