    Has the Hut Discovery been added .. I still cant see what the 100% method of finding the pattern of resources and huts is, but then agian ( as eyes will tell you) i am an idiot .....

      Scouse... He only uses one name at a time... all his other accounts have been restricted. Eyes is the one he wants to use at this time...


      EYE's and everybody else. This thread is for discussing the GL... if you don't appreciate the work they are doing... fine... you don't have to read it or participate.

      Please take your complaints... brags and whatever elsewhere. Post on topic, or post somewhere else...

          Could we get the library links to say www.apolyton.net instead of apolyton.net, i know it isnt supposed to make a differnce but it does for some strange reason at my work computer... Also i cant seem to get the 2nd or 3rd page of the Oedo Revolution years....

            Just a proposition. I recently told an old friend of mine and a very very occasional civers about succession games and he enjoyed very much the reading. Should not the threads be indexed, I would be glad to re-read easily all the crazy commentaries. Some of it were real fun, and some of them would have deserved to be in a book. What's more, there's quite a few things to learn by reading them.
            So I suggest that under the category "succession games", we can find links for all the finished one (some are in 2 parts).
            Does anyone think it is a good idea.

              Succession game entries in the index

              I don't think it would be good to link the numerous succession game threads in the GL index. There are too many, it would clutter the index.

              What would work is something akin to the Info: threads. Make a new thread, the sole purpose of which is to provide links to the succession game threads. Maybe provide a short description of each game and why it is being logged (good strategy, humorous, etc). Link this summary thread in the GL Index as a one-stop listing of all the succession games. There are many in the Spanish site forum, too.

                Sounds good to me. Marquis, my idea was to put the succession games on the board, not to make too technical of a proposition. Yeah, I could start one topic asking everybody to help me find the links in the differents sites. Then, I could make the real one (the one that would be linked), starting with a little general explanation of what succession games are and then the list of the SG (it’s not the Gits that I mean) with a brief description of the adventure. It doens’t sound good, it sounds great. I do it immediatly in the general civ2 Forum. Feel free if you to do it elsewhere if you know any good other places. (Or let me know it and I’ll do it myself).

                    I raise this once again, as the existing link in the GL goes to an archived thread that links to an archived (and not even most recent) version of the abandoned thread in the General/Help forum. Much has been updated since then.

                      trade error??

                      seems like I found an error in the trade-arrow calculations(scrolls of wisdom)
                      I used Civ2.42 for a test and I could only conclude that there is NO modifier for trade between 2 different continents
                      Also does it seem that 2 cities connected by roads means that the road must go along the path the computer would choose.

                      and a little addition
                      every square that has roads also has railroads,so this gives +50% for the roads +50% for the railroads(and you only see your RR)this is somewhat confussing)

                      the game I used can be found in the thread "Zero trade"
                      I would really like someone else also to test these ideas.
                      (just to be sure)

                          Why isn't samson's 76AD landing-thread in the GL? I haven't been here in a while..Did someone beat his record? I'm thinking about BC landings...

                            The GL links haven't been updated recently. Nobody has beat his early landing yet, tho.

                              I've been hitting the links in the GL lately with no luck. "Can't find the page" is the message I get.

                              Is it Apolyton server problems or something else?

                                you can't begin building a spaceship before 0 AD. It will not let you.
