ST What does Ctrl-h do? I spent like an hour going through my table and removing all the EOLs. Never mind ST I figured it out you just search/replace for ^p and replace it with a space. Thanks again

Mixam, my Word has a Ctrl-H shortcut for the search/replace function...

      Edited:
I hope you know the "replace all" button

I predict that this Great Library will become very famous.

Well done, Scouse Gits, a labor of love!

Yep know the replace all button. All came into place after I realized you could search for end of lines. It took me a while to figure out that end of line was ^p though

            Get to Work!

There are many specific situational tests that need to be run to verify certain defense modifiers in the info: Combat (GL) thread. My time is rather limited, please help with testing!

And then when civ 3 comes out, we can use the orginization of the civ 2 GL to construct a civ 3 GL. Combine that with all the civ-hungry play-testers and we'll have mastered every aspect of civ 3 in no time . Of course even that will take a little while, but less time than if we didn't have a civ 3 GL .

Anyway, keep up the good work.
I don't have much to say 'cause I won't be here long.

                GL Index Updated

We have now included further information on beakers/tech gifting, OCC logs for size one cities and Xin Yu's X-Pack.

Many thanks to all the posters above who have offered their approval of the Great Library Index.

I propose William Keenan's slot property paper for inclusion (unless it's there somewhere already and I'm missing it).

'Fraid I can't remember where it is to be found but the librarians or I could ask him for a link.

As if this game didn't waste enough of my time already!!! Now I've got to contend with digesting information that will make Civ II even more enjoyable.

The Great Library in Apolyton is absolutely the most incredible piece of work I've seen in years. Congratulations to all who put this together.
The game, this site (Apolyton), and the people I've met here are the best.

                      'Nuff said.

I suppose I should get to work on that soon. I wrote a good piece of it. All right, I'll download the discussions and dust off my old copy of Frontpage and see if I can make sense of the madness and whip up an HTML.

Yes, either post it here or send SG2 a personal message. While on the topic, SG2, the GL Index link to Combat is to the wrong thread. It should link to "Info: Combat (GL)." If I already sent a message, nevermind, as it's probably on your to do list... (I can't remember if I did) Thank you!

I can't get those links to work, SlowThinker. But I found one that does in a "trade routes" thread in Civ2 Strategy archives (it doesn't seem to cut and paste into this post).

Do we have any process to follow to arrange the addition of material to the Library index.

PS One of the links now works (my machine must have been running slow) but it is to William's Barbarian paper. I am proposing the addition of his paper entitled Advance Slot Properties which helpfully lists out all the effects of each advance, including for example some of the effects on trade where the demand for or supply of commodities is triggered by a particular advance.

I have a file to send in HTML format, but the PM screen doesn't seem to allow for attachments, and SG2 isn't listing an email address. Where should I send the file?
