BRITAIN BACKS FRANCES NEUTRALITY!!!

Today Mr Smith issued a shock statement that will no doubt have experts in berlin scratching their heads trying to figure out why??
Mr Smith today affirmed french neutrality saying that removing yourself from a conflict is never a bad thing to do in the name of peace and tranquility. As a mark of respect to france for this brave move britain is now proposing a block on german warships going through the english channel. The Battleships HMS Warspite, HMS Corageous and HMS Indomitable have taken up positions in the english channel with orders to sink any german warship or troop transport coming through. We at this paper are wondering what caused this reversal in policy from mr smith who is obviously oblivious to the harm he could be doing to relations with germany. He said that german warships would now be kept in the north sea "where they belonged" and never allowed to be a threat to france again. The german battleships that are already through will be hunted down and asked to leave, and then destroyed if they do not.

It seems at this paper that britain just doesnt know what it is doing. To offend someone like germany for the sake of france??? This editor is baffled

The Spanish people have great joy over the British statement. Spain is pleased that its two closest friends have found compromise. The Spanish people are also relieved that the threat of Spain becoming a battleground between the two powers has been removed.

In other news, King Caspian has agreed to review the political situation in Spain. The aim of which is the eventual modernisation of the Spanish government to bring it in line with other great nations in the 20th century.

Germany Stands by Denunciation

Suprising many, Ioannes and the German delagates of CUE stand by their denunciation of France's actions, saying, 'if France cuts off and stabs her friends in the back, how can we trust her to remain nuetral, or for that matter even remain humain to her peoples, particularly Germans who dwell under French rule?'

CUE response to Britain Lukewarm

Last week, the military director of CUE forces ordered the withdrawl of CUE warships from the channel. 'We don't want any conflict between CUE and Britain for now, and we shall concede this demand as of this time.' More diplomats have been sent via safe conduct to the Isles to discuss the issue and the outrage of the German peoples.

BRITAIN DEMANDS GERMAN RECOGNITION OF FRENCH NEUTRALITY!!!

Today Mr Smith demanded that Ioannes recognise the french peoples right to neutrality in any military actions undertaken by european nations. He rubbish rumours of french mistreatment of german speaking peoples living under their rule. He said that this rumour was obviously started by some malicious person who wished war between the two sovereign states of france and germany.
"The german affirmative responce to frances neutrality will be delivered by next month or britain will break off diplomatic relations with you." The words were heard uttered by Mr Smith in his palimentary address today. This is sending a stark warning to germany who until recently had been our closest allies to keep their hands off our, until now enemies, france. This is a remarkable turn of events and now europe is balanced on a knife edge. It is just determine to be seen when everyone will fall off.

In other news the german navy was chased out of the channel by the british warships. It is reported that they went peacfully and the way has now been blocked by 3 battleships to keep them out.

Germany Renounces Trade Ties

Earlier this October, the leading state of the CUE renounced trade relations with Britain. Germany's military advisor is quoted to have said, 'as long as we're blocked from the Atlantic, we will not let any trade come from Britain to us. We have trade capabilities with other great nations, and we will not be lackies to Britian. Germany stands by her attitude against France.'

Germany Leadership of CUE in Doubt

The Democratic CEU parliament was in heated debate yesterday as anti and pro French factions clearly developed. Most of the pro-French factions though say they are willing to take France on should there be any proof of their misdeads. This may cause some scisms in this August body, though everyone is trying to keep it together despite the differences. Regardless however, troops are now being moved to Strasburg to brace for the possiblity of French hostility. 'Such matters should not be taken lightly, even if concocted' Bringham Boulder, Defense coordinator of CEU forces said.

All said and done, Germany remains in control of the Union, but only barely. Only two more votes in the Senate would tip the scales to the pro-French faction.

Build-up in Nancy Reported!

Unconfirmed reports of a troop build-up in Nancy, France have been heard throughout the Central European Union. Many fears have been aspoused and many Germans are fearing for their families and homes. Some have already moved out. Byum Gyu, an imigrant to Western Germany, is one moving out. 'I want my family safe. I'll be glad to fight the evil empire if need be, just as long as my family is safe.

Nope, don't have the game. Sent it to Emperor Henriko about a week ago (before I was struck cold, so to speak).

I hope we are NOT yet witnessing the dramatic decline of the glorious democratic alliance?

In that case, we ask our friends of the alliance to cool their heads and we heartily welcome france's neutrality, which means opportunities for greater arrangements with the russian government, without the loud inconvenience of a demanding italian emperor...

BTW, we took Stockholm last turn, if I didn't mention that, but failed to deliver Bucharest just yet, and lost a horseman in the attack (our first casualty). Bucharest will most probably fall on the next turn, however.

BRITAIN FURIOUS AT GERMAN IMPUDENCE!!!

Britain today issued their strongest ever warning to the german government to affirm french neutrality. Also Mr Smith reacted furiously to germany cutting off trade with "our fair country" He has ordered that all trade ships be diverted to france which led to some odd goings on because some british ships were docked in german ports and were just unloading when the order came to them so they had to just pull off with no warning. 5 Germans are believed to have lost their lives in these sudden movenments. All shipping has begun converging on french shores awaiting orders to put ashore its trade envoys. Britain has vowed to stand by france in its hour of need and to help eject any german raids into their territory. This is the starkest warning yet of the most amazing turn about in alliances europe has ever seen.


(france i have 2 ships worth of about 14 trade units coming your way please clear your coastal regions so i can unload them and get them to paris quickly for a bonus to both of us thank you.)
