  • Caravans to Russia find difficult route

Caravans this summer were sent to Russia, having heard of good rail developement. But as far as they have see, the rails between CEU and Russia were destroyed, leaving not so much as a road between the two nations. Puzzled the truck drivers continued through the mud and mire untill they reached Warsaw. First thing they saw was an ifantry regiment posted outside the city. Behind the city rails were leaving the city. The CEU minister of trade wishes to know why our good ally the Russians do not trust our trade units that they must gaurd against them. We ask, if the alliance is wished to be kept, to please clear the current railways so that our frieght to Sevesta and Herson, or as far as possible to those destinations.

"This must clearly be a mistake on part of russian border patrols, who clearly has acted on their own", said a spokesman of the russian ministry of industry and commerce, who appeared as surprised as his german colleague. "This matter will be looked into, and the responsibles will be punished. Make no mistake, we have plenty of work camps in Siberia leftover from the Tsar reign for such behaviour from tsarist officers and their kin. Russia, as much as Germany, wishes free trade to flourish, for peace and prosperity for our peoples. And I might add, that the russian administration expects to further expand our railroad systems during the next year, to ease up on transportation and facilitate trade to all of our cities."

              • As I've posted in other threads I will be spending one week in Greece, starting on Friday.

Can we put the game on hold during that time (not that it's lightening fast as it is, one might never notice... )?

                    • New Road Celebrations

This month, prime minister Nicholas II himself attended the initiation festivities of a new polish road connecting the russian union with the rest of the CEU, initiated upon german emissaries bringing up the matter of the bad roads connecting the two countries. "This road symbolizes the road to freedom, a road that is a symbol of the true friendship between our two peoples", said the minister in a very emotional speech directed to prime minister Ioanes of the CEU, who also attended the event. "But this is not the last project to make stronger bonds between us. We plan further steps for better infrastructure between our two countries. This is only the beginning. Soon companies will be able to trade freely across our borders, and virtually every russian city will be connected to this trade network, for mutual benefit of our peoples."

                      • Industrialization in Italy is progressing nicely, new factories are opening up by the day all over the nation, and the nation is now slowly begining to compete with the other powers of the world.

Particularly the city of Naples has adapted well to the new development and the city now boasts a production well in class with other major european cities.
Infact acording to some industrial analysists it's the most productive city in the world currently! (61 shields)

Furthermore Italian citizens has the highest annual income in the world! (324$ per capita)

In order to spur similar developments amongst our allies President Henriko Lohmandero made a very generous contribition to the Ottoman Republics treasury this month to make it possible for them to industrialize at a faster rate.

Similar grants for the virgin nation of Jugoslavia are being discussed in Rome at the moment, aparently they are only being hindered by the absens of the Jugoslavian leader (who needs to clear such transactions before they can be carried out).
Right now the entire world is wondering, where is Andreas Kleshnikov?
His own staff seems unsure at present...

                        • Andreas is here, he was away inspecting the local bureaus and their efficiencies. It took awhile, but he has made it back. He arrived just in time to announce that the Jugoslavian capital city of Belgrade can now be considered a major trade hub for the nations of Europe! He was quoted saying:

"The unique web design of the Jugoslavian rail line with Belgrade as its central hub, allows for the outgoing lines to head off towards our neigboring nations."

The 'Pecs Line' from Belgrade connects to the CEU lines near Budapest. To the West and as part of the Medditeranean Rail Line, the 'Zagreb Line' leads to Italy. Due East of Belgrade, the 'Bucharest Line' connects Jugoslavia to Russia. To the South, both the 'Nish' and 'Sofia Lines' connect Belgrade to Turkey. These last two remain incomplete with engineers working feverishly to put the finnishing touches on the lines.

"All lines Lead to Belgrade" will be the new motto of the leading Jugoslavian Rail company as well. All nations are invinted to pass through our capital city on their way to the various economic destinations. you will find the Jugoslavian lines take you where you need to go.

                          -Andreas.

                          • President Ioannes has been busy last month meeting other national leaders in many different meetings:

In Russia: After the reception, Ioannes made a speach ensuring the Russians that CEU engineers will help to connect the two nations. 'Trade should be completely unhindered, and no unnessisary stops or uneeded national customs should stop our caravans.' Two caravans are reported heading in to the Russian interior. Freight drivers wondered at the military blockade in front of Smolensk. Having been turned away by them, the decided to head north twoward Pskov instead.

In Jugoslavia: Ioannes congradulated Prime minister Andreas on his accomplishments. 'Not even the CEU was able to attain what you have, a rail road hub accessible to all.' He then removed the border gaurd on the Autrian-Jugo border and asked for access to the nation's railways for a freighter headed toward Italy.

In Italy: After Jugo, Ioannes toured Italy, guided by Henriko himself. There Ioannes obsereved Naples' impressive manufacturing. Congradulating Henriko in his impressive accomplishement, he reminded him that Munich still, barely, Europe's leading industrial center, producing 64 shields a turn.

In other news, a transport and destroyer are for sale in the Mediterranean.

Today, Dijon Orchard workers were turned out of their orchards by an artillery brigade commaned by the Italians. Hundreds loose their jobs as the economy in Dijon hurts. Anyalists can only suppose this military action was done to illegally give Lyon big cats ownership of ther orchard. Though Ioannes is on vacation in Italy, when word gets back, he will have serious words with Henriko about restoring Dijon orchard workers back to their work.
