Had an idea at work: a space scenario wherein deep space is represented by a terrain with the impassible value from TOT, so that only craft with "warp capabilities" can travel the void, and each race is kept to nearby systems beforehand. Don't know if it's been suggested before, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I honestly like "space islands" scenarios more for their potential (carriers, transports, and the like), though.

How would you work warp? Airports would be the obvious answer, but you'd need a destination to which you could move first, and that's the tricky part....
Is anyone else interested in a collaborative scenario? I think it might be fun, and wouldn't impinge on anyone's personal design efforts (too much) - especially if the units/terrain could be borrowed from existing scenarios.
As I said before, I'm happy to write all of the text - unit descriptions, introduction, event notices, even the entire Civopedia, if anyone else fancies working on the graphics and gameplay.

Para-drops mainly I imagine. AI's the problem of it though, unless star systems are very large and few.
I don't have ToT, so I don't know much about impassible terrain. I assume that air and domain 3 units can't cross it?
Sounds like an interesting idea. Maybe for an intergalactic space game. But It's hard to speculate technologies at that point...Also known as Souron.

I meant that "warp" would give units with the ability to cross impassible terrain. Big, expensive interstellar cruisers and "cold sleep" colony pods, or generation ships. Something like that.
