Citizens of the South! Ouah fust taste of sweet revenge, at last! A Yankee cavalry brigade was destroyed on the banks of the Tennessee River and a Yankee militia regiment was destroyed crossing the Rappahannock River. A CSN Transport is caught in a bay on the west coast of Florida and is sunk while a Militia unit on picket duty on the Ohio river is caught by surprise and captured.

Peace in the Valley, War on the High Seas!
No action in the Eastern or Western theatres. Meanwhile, the raider CSS Alabama has sunk two Yankee frigates off Bermuda. They were the USS Monkey and the USS Chimpanzee. Surviors were put ashore in Bermuda by the gallant crew of the Alabama.Attached Files

Reb Alabama found skulking around Bermuda under British protection. Shockingly cowardly behaviour!
In the west a Tennessee State Militia unit is killed near Bowling Green as Union forces begin to probe the Confederate defences.
I may not be able to post tomorrow as I am boxing after work and then going straight out for dinner to celebrate Mrs McMonkey's birthday. I have tried to play drunk before and it always ends in disasterAttached Files

Confederate victories on land and sea!
The raider CSS Alabama has sunk another yankee frigate, the USS Orangutan.
The Confederate Army of Tennessee has attacked the yankee Army of the Ohio at the Battle of Green River, 30 miles west of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The initial Confederate attack destroyed two yankee artillery units and two infantry regiments. One Confederate infantry regiment was lost. Both sides appear to be bringing up reinforcements for what may be the largest battle of the war so far.Attached Files

I was a little bit miffed to find that Conscription "upgraded" all of my Volunteers to Conscripts.
To cheer myself up I decided to kill some Rebs
In Kentucky the Battle of Beech Creek rages on
1 Cannon, 7 Volunteers, 6 State Militias and 3 Generals killed
The Federal Army loses 4 Conscripts and 4 Militia
In Virginia the Federal Army begins its offensive and clears the two State Militia to the south-east of Alexandria near the River Bull Run.Attached Files

The Army of Tennessee, badly defeated at the Battle of Green River, retreats on Nashville. In the meantime, the raider CSS Alabama has returned successfully to home port, after a spectacular cruise, in which she sank 3 frigates of the McMonkey class.Attached Files
