I'm just waiting for Arthedain to give the green light for his second run. Then we'll be on our way.

I sent you the answers about three dyas after you prompted me the last time. Maybe its a glitch with my internet service provider. I'll send it to you again soon - but I'll take the opportunity to revise it a bit, I was a bit rushed the first time.Last edited by kobayashi; May 18, 2007, 01:43.

Arthedain,
Unless you're almost done, I'm inclined to release the scenario this weekend and then maybe issue a patch later on for fixes and adjustments.

Would a patch address some of Arthedain's questions/comments about the timing of the campaign in West Rohan?

Alright, I admit it. I (for the time being) give up.
On one hand: Beautiful graphics (though some seem better than others, they're all beautiful and Middle-Earthy). Great work.
The Rangers are a tiny bit too weak (or is it just a flaw in the Civilization 2 engine)...they'll damage a unit quite badly, then suddenly take enough hits to put them in the yellow or die. Its either superbly calculated to make the player's life hell, or a bug (in the game, not the scenario).
But hey. Generally seems to be as good a balance as we'll ever get, though the West is a little too hopeless (it may fit the reality behind the books but not quite the events, your mileage may vary).
Still, glad to have downloaded it, and planning to borrow ideas and graphics. : ) With permission, of course.

My main issue with the scen is just what Boco said. Isengard gets too strong too quickly. It must be challenging, but I was merely talking about the realistic part, since Isengard attacked Helm's Deep (in huge numbers, even surrounding it) even before the fellowship was out of Moria. As soon as Iot out, I knew I had to sacrifice the hobbits trying to rush heroes to the Deep. Otherwise, I just love the scen.
I'm a map freak and I usually love accurate maps, but there's something about this map. It's bigger where the combat is, and smaller where there's not much action, and that I like. Sometimes, even for me, playability maps > accurate maps, but just sometime, like in this case."Peace cannot be kept by force.
It can only be achieved by understanding"

Having said that, it's difficult but definitely not impossible. I did wait till I played to the end myself before releasing it and I an by no means a good player. They are certain key strategies Men of the West need to employ in order for survival. I won't discuss them here as I don't want to spoil it for people like Agricola.
In any case guys, I'm hoping for every one to post their comments in the other thread as the title of this thread uses the old name of LOTOR.Last edited by kobayashi; May 18, 2007, 23:42.
