The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

I've been testing and balancing things, and it is now nearly ready for playtest!

And, surprise surprise, what I intend to add in my next test is neither off nor def, but rather just 1 move to some of the units!
I now manage to (barely) survive until the end of the game, so I guess it's done!
And adding 1 more move to defensive units so that they could cover the weak ones did the trick!
So if all goes well I might be able to send something next week or the week after!
Seems I might be on time, for once...

Let's start with the good news: the game balance seems alright, I completed another game with a success rate of about 60% (you'll see when you get the files how to calculate that ).
So now what I still have to do is:
- test the correction of the few minor glitches I saw during my test (in 50% through the last "alpha-test"!)
- add a few explicative messages
- write a short description of the scenario objectives for the testers
So nothing major, nothing complex, nothing long!
And now the sad news: I won't be able to complete it today: I'll leave tomorrow morning for a (rather long) week-end in Bruxelles!
And as this will mean a lot of partying with my soccer team, I might need some time to recover when I come back...
And as next week will be busy too, I'm not sure I can complete it before the week-end after...
So, if all goes well, everything will be ready for playtest next week, and if not then it will be for the week after...
During the playtest, I intend to "polish" the graphics
For that, I would need some help! Here is what I would like:
- some units: I just sent a PM to fairline
- a tree unit: anybody has seen something?
- some "graphical advice" for the terrain: some terrain types, the specials
For the terrain, it would be only visual has there is no city! but for that, the one volunteering would spoil his surprise of the game, as he might need to take a look at the map...
You may want to check out Harlan Thompson's LOTR and your own Pomarj. Combining the best features of his and your walking veggies might be the way to go.
