I also agree with Patrick's idea of exploiting the multi-map feature, as well as your idea of litter on the boardwalk .
Cool! Thanks. As for ideas, how about a "clumsy dynamite expert"? He could be a high attack unit with the "one attack only" missile flag. He'd be a great unit to have around if not for his clumsy fingers.

Speaking of scenario ideas. Anyone watched the new Kong movie? That could make a scenario. Or another expedition reaching the island before the events of the movie..
@ Arthedain: I was thinking of making a scenario based around Kong, but I figured that we'd have to be too true to the movie environment. If done in ToT I bet it could be great. I could see a scenario based around rescuing your expedition from the island and fighting off the other oversized animals on the island.

Ok, some ideas for units in addition to those already posted and the "Clumsy Dynamite Expert":

      - Chlorine Gas specialist, possibly with gas mask.

      - 1920's era airplane, with bomb rack

Well let me ask you this first Harry, would you be needing simply one style of "Crazy Dynamite Expert" or on for each of the three civ's? Would the same answer apply to the other units you mentioned? Should the uniforms and general atire of the party members be uniform like that of soliders or a "King Kong" style mish mash of colours and styles like an assembled party from different corners and walks of life?

Also, if this is ineed taking place in the 1920's, I think I should redo the British and German expeditionary leaders to be more era appropriate.

As an example of what the non-uniformed "Clumsy Dynamite Expert" units would look like, these are what I came up for the Germans, Americans and British. I suppose these guys may have some varying degree of military background, but the common bond they share is a true love of things that go KAPLOWEE!!

Following the non-uniform style you'd find in a rag tag team of adventurers, here are the German, British and American Chlorine Gas specialist.

Well I guess the question is moot! Just kidding! Your prowess at creating units is top notch. I don't think I could turn out so many in such a short period of time. Wow. Ok, let's think. We'll probably want to have a few broad spectrum units for all the civs, if just to cut down on space. So how how about we do this:

                - Keep the "clumsy dynamite expert" as an American unit. We'll tie this into the great use of dynamite in America's expansion across the continent. I love that guy in the red stripes, he looks awesome!

                - I'd like to keep German Chlorine Specialist just because Germany is so well known as a user of gas warfare. Then again I heard the British produced larger quantities. I think we should go with the German guy for the time being. Any chance of switching out the German head with the American body? I think the American body has much more detail.

                - I'm thinking that it would be cool to include an Aussie explorer in the mix too. I like the look of the British Dynamite guy, could you give him a boomerang and a machete?

As for the other units, I think that they should be usable by all human civs and that the ragtag theme is working perfectly. Ever see that Disney cartoon movie called Atlantis: The Lost Empire? Michael J. Fox was the voice of the lead character. They had all sorts of people in the group, from all walks of life. I think this scenario carries with it the same adventurism.

As for the leader units, I would still go with the ones you made. They may look out of place at first glance, but remember that the great countries of the world probably would not send young amateurs to an unexplored island. These guys will be great for use in a backstory, a bunch of old, obsolete heroes and bastards out for one last thrill.

I think the units look awesome. I'll try to make some progress of the finished boardwalk and some more of the graphics tonight.

                  Don't worry about:

                  Freighter

                  River Raft

                  Browning Machine Gun Nest

1920's era airplane with bomb rack

I think we have all those in supplyh right now. Also, I'd like to use maybe Fairline's Fokker airplane for another German air unit.

Well the answer for the Disney Atlantis question is yes, I have seen the movie and I agree with what your suggesting. It might also be cool to include those spring launched aircraft Garner's men used at the end in the dogfight, but thats entirely your call .

As for my end of things I have the German Cholorine Specialist you had requested, and an old rusty freighter unit. I had the freighter ready to post anyways you see, it was originally for a graphical update of Case's "Cruel Sea" that I was never able to finish.

Looking good! I'll have to do a search on those aircraft. I don't quite remember them. Do you have anything in mind for native species for the island?

                        Another unit idea:

                        - Beast Tamer - guy with bullwhip

We're also going to need some units for the mechanic side of the game, namely:

                            - Camp Builder (Wagon Coach?) - Since the human cities in the game will look like camps we obviously need a unit that will found the camps. My suggestion is to use the Prospector/Donkey that I put together using Fairline's and Exile's units. I see the donkey carrying a hilariously large amount of baggage.

                            - Turtle, Turtle Trader - If we do the "Turtle Lagoon" idea I already have a turtle unit that is ripe for the killing. I could build a caravan/high value unit that is shown to be carrying the turtle shell or something.

                            - Liquor Distiller - Got the unit all ready. I'll post it later.

                            - Dinos - Might as well throw some in.

I'll post some more ideas later....

Well I think we all liked the multimap idea so I guess it's in. The actual map of the island is still up in the air. I posted that earlier one to provide an example of the cauldera terrain event, but I'm not attached to it. Any ideas?

Here's that Australian gent minus the stick of dynamite and instead with his trusty machete and boomerang. To his right is the American animal trainer complete with bull whip.
