Ah, but surely it has something to do with El Aurens?
Is it actually a shot from the movie?

Btw your avatar seems to be evolving into something that chokes or gets censored!

What do you mean? They're just lips.

Why naturally! I was searching for a impxx.bmp image for EA and saw a painting by Christine Mazet. Found it on http://www.christine-mazet.com/bedouin.htm .

Perhaps we should meet at Mercator's house?

      [Does this image show?]

The advantage of a pss-up is that, when managed properly, you've got lots of time to talk to people, which you don't have when you're running around shooting them.
Ah, that'd be a fun one to explain to US Customs agents. "I went to Europe to train in play paint ball with people I've never met but communicated with regularly. It's just an obsession of mine." So, I'd have to say proper drinking ranks higher with me. Might have something to do with my lousy gaming skills. Sailing sounds great, but isn't that ?

I admit that it looks more serene, at least on the outside.

but we really need a list of possible places, and a poll.
(since Thessaloniki is where 3 people from the sl league are i think that it is a good idea though, ofcourse it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it would mean i wouldnt have to travel anywhere)

              So, what now about meeting?

What now about a (SL) member photo thread?

Getting back on topic, with this kind of thing its probably best that someone selects a reasonable time and place (north west Europe in the middle of the year seems to be the best ), and everybody else who's interested adjust their travel plans.

I think I'd prefer a dinner or something (rather than just a pub) to an, um, activity... Well, maybe a good hike or something would be nice, but outdoor things rather depend on the weather.

We could always go on the hike Allard just completed.

Would moving the date from August to June affect anyone's ability to attend? I've been checking some cheaper hotels, and many are booked already for August 06. Please reply only if you're seriously considering attending.

Yes, for me June would be easier! And yes, I would try to attend, without being certain I could, of course! But a week-end somewhere in Europe in June sounds doable, for instance!

this is unrealistic; at any rate useless to announce something a year before. and ty for being so kind as to reply to what i posted 3 times. bye

varwnos, I'm sorry if you expected a response from me to all your posts. I'm not going to do a poll - this is a decision that needs to be made by the people who are interested in attending, rather than by a free vote of everyone. That, and I'm afraid the banana will win.

As for being too early to start planning, I thought the fact that some European hotels are already fully booked for August of 2006 spoke for itself. The best way to plan something like this is for people who are really interested to block off the time in their calendar well in advance so other commitments don't intrude. Probably more detailed planning should begin about 3 months ahead.
