        • Yay! I Love your describe.txt

My first impression is that despite the extra cities at the start its harder than your other beta.

Can you be more specific on this? Are there too many enemy units, or not enough of your cities? One change I've considered was giving the player a larger starting cash reserve for bribing more cities in the beginning.

              • There are more garrison units. In the previous beta I used stem-celled Ashby to take first south San Fran then Redwood city, then beeline to Fremont. Cloyne got rid of the nimbys, then met up with Ashby@Fremont. From there Livermoore, then everything west of the Altamonts. Used the Oakland nerd to get the imperial walker. Peacemobiles & Haxx0rs to take south bay. Then I'd hunker down, build magical girls and artist colonies and wait for hybrid tanks. In the new beta I have to use nerds more and earlier on.

                • Though I'm on the opposite side of the sociopolitical spectrum, I must say I'm impressed by the effort you've put into this, and your skill in creating it.

Too bad you can't play the opposing side. I'd love to take the forces of Jesusland and crush your futile dreams of peace and freedom.

                  • GhostofDisco-

you're more than welcome to make a scenario from the other side...it's all open source. After playing Harry Tuttle's Atomic Eagle I was sold on the idea of the single-perspective scenario, since it allows for much more story in the events space, as well as higher-level strategies that the AI can't handle.

                    EZRhino-

Hmm, one thing that was changed from 1.0 to 2.0 was that the default garrison units defense was upped from 3 to 4.

If you were to quantify the amount of lopsidedness there is right now, by what percent off balance are things right now?

Would you mind if I tried to convert the scenario to Freeciv?

                            • Just started playing tonight and stayed up way to late. Quick question, should I avoid destroying cities at all cost? It just seems really slow to wait till a new round of nerds is ready for bribing.
