That was a well timed attack deity. I had a few drinks after work and was well under the weather for the whole session.

        Thanks Horsie!

Yeah, I had a feeling it was a good move. I was going to do it the oedo year before but starting with your save stopped me as I missed the year (finbar's save would have allowed it). I had to wait 5 turns but at least I was better prepared.

Thirdly, if Horse wiped out Trev without anyone intervening he would then attack me anyway.

Surely you can't say I'm not allowed to attack Horse at all in this game?

Note that I revolted, rather than forming an alliance with Trev, so that I could attack Horse.

I think the game is much more tactically and strategically interesting now and I'm sure Horse can appreciate the military challenge

I got upset once when three civs co-operated against me in another game but I got over it

It's pure fun! And coming from behind is a real buzz.

          Can we play tonight?
Always interesting to see how your mind works

I can probably play tonight. trev and finbar aren't normally around sat nights but we'll see.

One observation I might make is that I believe Horse is tactically superior to me but I am strategically superior.

              Just thought I'd say that

                            • I'm out tonight, chaps. Mrs finbar finishes up her consulting job today. She invited six of her work cronies to dinner tonight to celebrate her freedom and I'm, typically, cooking.

Beyond that, I'm having the cable disconnected late on Sunday night the 22nd. The house is being packed up from early the next morning and we nick off on the 26th. So I have a very limited Oz-based Civ life left!
