I think the tanks will be set up like this
    British MKIV, Move-1, attack12, defence-5, hp-3 cost-12
    French Schneider, move-1, attack10,defence3,hp3,cost12
    German A7V, move-1, attack-14, defence6,hp-3, cost15

edit: come to think of it, i will make the german tank more expencive,

Those units look great, Erika! I've never been good at graphic-making, but I certainly appreciate expertise in the field.

BTW, by the look of the units layout, I see you've decided on European over global in scope. Probably a good choice, as Germany had minimal power in its colonies at the time.

I'm thinking that there will be two senarios, a european version and a global version,(Hint, in global version, don't play italy, unless you like to die horribly early in the game)

Here's some advice. Make the neutrals a bunch of barbarian cities with immobile defense infantry in them (that's what I often do). That way, you can give Turkey it's own player on the global map (or maybe China).

When are you planning to start - I mean at what date will the scenario begin? You mentioned that a German attack on Belgium will bring Britain into the war, so I assume you're starting around July 1914. I presume a German attack on Russia will bring France into the war and vice versa - otherwise Germany doesn't need to face a war on 2 fronts. Similarly, any attack on Austria-Hungary brings Germany into the war - or are you planning to have Germany and Austria-Hungary as a single country? If you set up alliances at the begining, can you do anything to prevent separate peace treaties between the beligerants - tricky this one, since actually, Russia did sign a separate peace treaty in the end.

Once the war starts, how do you ensure that it bogs down into trench warfare?

It should be an interesting scenario - it will be interesting to see how closely the human player follows the actual course of events and what alternatives you allow them.

I couldn't agree more, seeing as more than half are by fairline and most of the rest are by Nemo, Case and some other very good artists.

This could be accomplished by giving both sides a line of D=99 stationary units that represent the lines of trenches. Any and all direct attacks would be futile. The only alternative would be to use amphib operations.

A Gallipoli in Europe sounds interesting. For players, the difficulty of such an operation would depend on whether or not aircraft have 2 turn movement. Events would have to be used to create AI invasions.

As a general question, how would the global version significantly differ from curtsibling's excellent Kaiser scen?

I'd rename fortresses 'Trenches' and give the units relatively high defense and 2 or 3 HP to infantry and MG's, so that units on a fortress get a tremendous bonus...

I´d suggest you start in August since no German troops poured into Belgium in July as far as I know ...

I further suggest you make cavalry more generic units so you *could* use more different unit types then

                      Keep it up

I would quible about the two turkish infantry units- the early fez uniform was out even before the Balkans wars of 1912-1913 or the war with Italy for Tripoli- you could use the slot for something else.

Ditto for the old 1870's Russia uniform. Those are two slots you might give to better warplanes, depending on how important aircraft are.

thats just a pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha units compiolation
like how the fortified trench graphic is a pink box that says "trench?"
what do you think about the ships

How should i make the A7V?, i know that it was twice as fast as the MKIV, more powerful and had better armor, but poor trench crossing abilities, i know that the schneider will just flat out suck but i can't seem to figure out how to acurately represent the A7V's stregnth and weaknesses,

They are all very well done, but why does each navy have a special ship unit? Do they have some game significance?

As for German armor, honestly, the Germans had little and highly ineffectual and unimportant armor-Storm Troopers are MUCH more important to have for the Germans than German tanks, since it was new infrantry tactics that almost brought a breakthrough by the Germans in 1918.

perhaps making the road multiplier 2, and givin all tanks 1 move and the all as roads flag, while giving the A7V 3 or 4 moves but suffers from terrain?
