Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Thunder Bay was the name adopted by the twin cities of Fort William and Port Arthur some time in the 60's ??. As there already is a Port Arthur in TX, Fort William would be the better, historically accurate name.
Birmingham was and is a much more important city than Montgomery. Perhaps it should be included.
Excerpts from the Manual of the Civilization Fanatic :
Money can buy happiness, just raise the luxury rate to 50%.
Money is not the root of all evil, it is the root of great empires.
Well Harry here's the flagset you requested for Atomic Eagle II, I hope its to your liking. Now I included the shaded flags because I had them all drawn up by the time I realize they weren't what you wanted, and I hated to just let them go to waste so I thought I could at least show you what they look like with shading.
Now I provided the historically accurate flags of Mexico and Canada from that era (The Canadian flag before the Maple Leaf was known as the Red Ensign). The two generic Carribean flags are based on the flags of the Domican Republic and Cuba, but both colour scheme's have been altered to create fictional flags.
Now I provided two traditional German flags on the Axis side, along with three possible varriants for a version of the flag to be used in the occupied America's. The second occupational German flag is obviously supposed to be a mocking parody of the American flag used as an insult by the invading German army. The three Axis allied South American flags are based on the flags of Colombia and Venezuela, but with obvious alterations to create fictional flags.
Cool! I like them. The shading looks very good so I think this is the style I will use. Also, I think I will use the Canadian flag as the background for all my Commonwealth units under American control. I'll just overlay the golden apaulets over the flag like I would any other American unit. That way at least it won't look like Manifest Destiny has taken hold
A few requests, so that things can be made more identifiable and glossy.
For the Free Carribean states could you make the Cuba-like one have a navy blue triangle instead red.
Also, I like your idea of the "mocking" American flag for the Nazis. Do you think you could make an German Occupied flag that is similar to the American flag but include a silver swastika with a dark blue background where the stars usually are and instead of 13 stripes, how about just three?
You know what, I've got a better idea for the German Occupied flag. I really like yours, but I want to retain that uniform look for the shields and flags. So I whipped this up just now:
I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!
Rules are like Egg's. They're fun when thrown out the window!
Difference is irrelevant when dosage is higher than recommended!
That banner does add a nice authentic wartime touch. In fact, It's the first time I've actually seen a banner in a scenario.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
I did not get a chance to thank you for Gold Gulch. What a hoot to play.
If this comes from the same mind it is bound to be good.
Thanks Harry
You have made peace with the evil Wheredehekowi tribe-we demand you tell us if they are a tribe that is playing this scenario.
We also agree not to crush you, if you teach us the tech of warp drive and mental telepathy and give 10 trinkets
Here you are, Harry!
The cities, as promised - And feel free to tweak them as you need!
If you don't like the looks of these battle-ruined,
Axis-occupied cities, I can make something different, if you wish!
These are in PNG format, if you save them as BMP, you should have the right colours.
I can send you a zip, if there are any problems...
Curt I really don't see how anybody couldn't love the occupied American cities. The burnt out building shells fit the general theme of the game perfectly. That theme being America under seige.
Say Harry, will there be air transport units involved in AE2?
