    Looking fantastic Harry!

    A few questions:

I only see the two British unit and they're both planes; are there going to be no British ground units in Canada? For that manner, how are you going to handle Canada? Will it be under American control or will it be a separate civilization?

What's the story with the Nazi unit (monster?) with a skull on its shield? Another of Himmler's little ventures?

      Totally wunderbar!

      Just a little observation...
Hardware like the Stukas and Me110s would most likely have given way to Arado Blitzes and Ta152s by this point...

      And ToT will give 20 more slots to give Canada some power;
and allow evil little Himmler to fully try out some SS-funded toys!

      Regardless,
This is the seeds of a classic!

The unit shields are most triumphant!

Fairline, I would appreciate it if you could. You're work is top notch.

The few things I'd like redone at the moment, and these can wait really:

E-75 Combat Tank - It's a next generation main battle tank for the Nazis. Basically it has some better sloped armor and uses the Tiger chasis, if I can remember the sketches from Achtung Panzer! correctly. It's very similar to the E-50. It's the unit that has been attached to this post. http://www.achtungpanzer.com/pz9.htm#eseries

In the bottom right of the units pic posted previously there are three units that I'd like shaded and redone in camo similar to the other German armor in the units pic.

          1) Flakpanzer V Coelian: http://www.store666.com/cgi-bin/brws.pl?f=toy&c1=401951

          2) Sturmtiger: http://www.achtungpanzer.com/sttig.htm

          3) Jagdpanzer E-25: http://www.achtungpanzer.com/pz9.htm#eseries

If you could do this I'd be very grateful. Of course this can definately wait till you have the time to do this. The scenario will take some time after all.

Don't worry about the planes right now, they're going to be redone in the next few weeks.

The story goes like this: Mannstein has started his invasion of Britain with one force concentrated in Scotland driving south and one force driving north from around Bournemouth in the South. Of course you won't see this in AEII as the game will not have Britain in it, but that's whats going on in Britain.

The Royals have been evacuated to Canada with Winston staying behind in the Home Islands to strenghten the resistance against the invasion. The Home Islands are in one hell of a fight for their life as North Atlantic arms shipping has been virtually halted due to Kriegsmarine U-boat activity and the two battle fleets that have been centered around the two remaining German aircraft carriers.

Anyways, long story short, the Candians, faced with not being able to ship arms and men to Britain have focused their non-naval assets on helping out the Americans with their little problem in Texas - The German Army, commanded by none other than, yes, you guessed it, the Hand of the Reaper.

Right now, the Canadian units are presented by the shield with the U.S. backing, the crown top, and the lion brand in the center. They are bottom left of the units pic. Seeing as this fight is on American soil and is so massive, I have just decided to put the Candian troops under U.S. command. Basically, it's easier to see the units if they all have the same gold style shield.

As for the Canadian Civ, I'll have to think about it. If I want the scenario to be easy to play and not have to worry about AI difficulties with moving allied units I may just have the Canadians be under U.S. control.

@ Curt: I've included the older hardware for placeholders mostly, but I think that if I can't make or get suitable replacements I'll just have the older props be the old "workhorses" that are more reliable and easier to repair in the field than the new jets. It all depends on what replacements I can make.

Oh yeah, and the Zombie Soldier.

I was going to save it as a surprise, but hey, why not post it, right?

This is a neat aspect of the game I'd like to employ. If I use ToT I can have units repopped in multiple tiles dependent on where the unit gets killed, right?

Well, seeing as the Nazi logistical line is so damn long, why not create a bit of realistic fantasy with those limited infantry units from Germany being re-animated upon death? It would save money on new uniforms...

Besides the Zombie Soldier I also plan to include a few more occult units derived from that little trip you made to the Tibetan monastery in AE I.

@ Curt: Thanks, I've spent a while on the shields. I made them longer and more sharp and I thought the bars with the silver and gold were a good touch.

Harry, have you ever read the short story 'Thor vs. Captain America' by David Brin? If you like the idea of Nazi's tinkering around with dark, mysterious forces beyond their control I heartily recommend this story. And no, it's not as flippant as the title would suggest.

With such a corny comicbook title I had to look it up. Yup, it's real alright.

Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

This scenario is looking mighty fine

Bottom line: punish the player. It should be a close run thing. Fighting should be desperate, with the opportunity that the player will lose.

                        Cheers!

I agree with your idea Harry for combining the Canadian civ with the American civ for simplicity. As much as I'd love to see my home and native land represented as its own civ, in this world it would make more sense to have Canada and the United States one and the same simply because Canada would have had no choice but to fight tooth and nail along side the American's if the continent was indeed invaded.

So Germany invaded through Texas eh? I guess this is made possible by the invading army being launched from bases in German backed Venezuela.

Those are also some great shields you put together, if you'd like some flags to go with them for the cities.gif I'd be glad to help.

If you use ToT (I'm not sure if you can do it with MGE), you can have the player opt for several different invation plans... For example, have an option that diverts some reinforcements from the south to try and secure Newfoundland as a base for bombing missions...

Well I think the object of the game is to repel the German invasion as the Allied forces. We had our turn to command the Germans in the First Atomic Eagle, now its time to try to fight the black tide under the stars and stripes. I know this may be premature Harry, but do you have a third Atomic Eagle planned down the road? Possibly one that involves war with the remnants of the Soviet Union? Also, are you going to be using a new city style for this one Harry?
