The border looks nice, but I think you should drastically reduce the contrast, and either decrease or increase the brightness a lot. I tried it in PSP, decreasing contrast by 60% and de/increasing brightness by 60%. That will make it much less intrusive and make the titles actually readable...

And could you by any chance change the hue of those riverstones to the same color as that of the mountains?

I might, but then there might be a bit to much brown on the board. I'll think about doing.

Ok, here's another border, one with regular contrast, the other with darker contrast.

I could always replace the Text color with another, perhaps brighter color, but then I'd be opening up a can of worms...

I think the light one, witht he text "wanted" is the best..

                I like brown.

I don't really like it when borders get too obtrusive, they're only borders after all. I think I prefer the lighter versions, the darker ones contrast too much with the bevel.

                But they certainly look good.

                  Update!

"Flags" almost done. Just gotta get one more drawn. You will really like these.

Working on the Game.txt file, filling it with Western speak. Fun stuff.

Filling up the map with mountains and prairies and the like, little by little. It's starting to resemble Montana.

                  More coming later.

Thank you. The river needs some touch up in the connection department though. Something for later.

Ok, as talked about previously with Boco and I, I'm going to create a spreadsheet that defines the pixel size and purpose of all the DLL gifs that can be used in a scenario. I'm going to stay away from the beginning game and world creation DLL's as they are not really necessary for a scenario's atmosphere. But I will map out the throne room, the city view, the city report window backgrounds, the spaceship, and the ending conquered civ ones.

Since I plan to change some DLL's I might as well do something for everyone.

Good idea! If you can, it'd be a good idea to make a comment about or link to the palette. Some of those DLL GIF's have strange ones. IIRC, substituting other palettes can have funny results.

Hmmm, will do. It looks as if the "real picture" gifs are just regular gifs, but I may be wrong. I'll fire up PSP and take a look.

This is actually quicker than I thought. I should have something tonight. Thank god for rainy days.

Bizarre... Anyone ever notice the French Female diplomacy mural in the back being the same as the Greek diplomacy mural?

Same thing for the male mural. It's the same as the Greek one. Hmmm... Buggy!!!

Maps done. These two are only 95% of the map. There's a bit more to the west.
