    • I'm happy to play some turns, but will have the game over the entire weekend if I do this. Is anyone happy with this, or would you prefer to wait and see if SG comes back and allows one of you ineligibles to play?

      • Thanks for the offer Dukey, but I won't be able to play this w/e - Valentine's and all - so if your g/f is away play some Civ - if she isn't - for God's sake don't

p.s It seems to me that this game has caused more trips to the (as yet unbuilt) Institute than most - I wonder why that is?

        • It's because there are no restrictions on this game, so we forgot to make the restriction of "no daft mistakes".

Never mind, the fuller the Institute (a philosophical state in this game to date) the more fun we get at the end, if the AI has tried to capitalise on our errors.

I'm not too worried about Valentine's Day, because my girlfriend and I don't believe in its sanctity and aren't prepared to pay our tax to Hallmark cards et al. Which works out quite nicely.
I see that Liverpool are playing Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon, but fortunately do not have to go to Anfield this time, which should mean more Civ time.

            • Go go!

I've picked up Lazy, which is at the end of the game and so will take a long time to play. I shan't play this this weekend then.

                • Looks like around 50 cities and multiple war fronts to manage. This will take a little while to assimilate...

I'm off to Ming's for the ight, hope to play this in earnest tomorrow (Saturday).

Yes, well, that's cute. But sometimes it is about more than the spam, Raz.

                          • Had a nasty spot of something -- either stomach flu or food poisoning -- this weekend, so didn't get too far.

Played 3 turns. Hoping to finish tonight and post tomorrow morning.

                            Sorry.

                              • Pretty sure it started with a dodgy restaurant lunch Thursday. But the beer on Friday night might well have contributed...
