NO - there are no rules for how to win - just do so!
As you all know I much prefer to keep a Spotless Rep - but for this experimental game - anything goes...

I perforce played this faster than I would normally play a Succession Game - so am open for any and all RCC, but feel that 5 techs, 2 cities, a WoW and several camels can't be toooo bad - can it?

Nicely done, Stu. The mine would have made MonkWine an early production center, with its barracks, a source of vets to deal with barbs. I had to dispatch a few and that focused my attention. My next move would have been, as with you, to mine/found on the coal. I feel your choice for the Nomad was better than my idea to walk it back closer to the core. It's nice to have that site nailed down.

After several times missing the Flowers, I can understand your grabbing that WOW first.

Who wants to have a go next??

Open note to Bloody Monk's "reader": Are his eyes doing better? Or are you starting to figure out this Civ obsession? Pray he does not make you read through the whole Great Library!

Yep, mine eyes are slowly improving. But, even with this magnifying thingy I found, it doesn't take long before the headaches start crushing. Doing some eye exercises too. It doesn't help that this is a heavy allergy season in central Texas. But, it is getting better.

That was the first time I played in about 10 months. You can't imagine how great it felt. BTW, everyone should read the Great Library, especially if they are becoming a new civ addict.

If someone else can D/L, play, and post before 5pm CST (US), feel free.

In fact, there's nothing to suggest I can "reserve" a turnset. Have at it, and I'll take my chances!

You could just take the save and play it.
If rabbit posts while you're away, then at least you'll get some practice in.
This is a quick game after all.

                              OK,OK...

Here's the zipped save. Sorry, but issues at home caused a late start today.

FWIW, SG[1], US Central = GMT -6 hours

Short form: some fits and starts, but basically got some trade rolling, won the race to Philo, and built Marco Polo.

In the spirit of team play, I left the next player a fat (792 GP) treasury and fresh foreign maps.

                              Log coming shortly...

Rabbit, if it hadn't have been for Monk's triumphant return to a most appreciative arena, you'd have been the MPV, but sadly it'll have to be another day.
Besides, no-one's playing as a team here. Or are we? This isn't the shotgun formation I'm familiar with.
