yeah, the beep code was what i was hoping for (the easiest to solve): memory problems!
and oddly enough i just had to switch memory banks instead of replacing the module... anyway, i'm not playing BtS again if this will keep happening [i was merely setting up an advanced start game ]

3.03: very good, i hope this solves all sync problems...!

tried with patch on both the normal number and the default port. Still not working

I don't think there's any point trying sabre's solution because Tom's version is definitely installed using the EU dvd.

Did you try the test BtS game on port 21 I emailed you about?

yes i did, still didnt work. I assume that was just a case of replacing the four-digit number at the end of the address with 21

Tech support is so helpful... I specifically told them that we all definitely had the patch installed, and this is what I get back...

As you can see, the 3.02 patch synchronises the 2 editions

Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword v3.02 Patch
This patch synchronizes the US and EU editions and fixes several crashes.

If this is not working, someone has not got this patch installed.

ok, i propose that we agree a certain specific time and i set up a game. i won't be able to host it long-term, but at least we might see where the problem lies.

also, lumpy: could you try connecting to another running BtS game somewhere? of course you won't be able to get INTO the game, but at least into the civ overview screen might be possible... browse around the folders here

New Uploader Released for BTS

It's a bit overdue, but a new uploader has been released that adds support for Beyond the Sword. I still need to add the new leaders to the database so you can select them on the website, but that shouldn't prevent you from using Civstats to track turn information.
